guestion about bulk container and SFC

Hello everyone, I'm getting close to having fully colonized BRF cakes and just yesterday decided I am going to try the Bulk method. So I went to my shed and found 3 square bucket and cut the bottoms off at just over 3 inches to put by substrate and broken up BRF cakes into. Now I was thinking that when I do fill my SFC with the perlite to the 4 inch mark then place these bulk trays on top then when my fruits finally do grow the base of them will be at the 7 inch mark and already halfway up to the top of the SFC. Will my fruit have room to grow without hitting the top of the SFC? and will my light need to be place further away? Here are some picture for a better visual of what I am talking about.

Cool thanks. Yeah that's what I was originally goin to do but then I changed my mind as doing bulk will give me way more fruits correct? I was also going to place a few cakes in between the containers and see what works better.

Spawning your cakes to bulk won't necessarily give you more fruits...its possible it will but if your cakes are bacterial or anything you'll end up with the about the same amount...fruit your cakes and keep reading til your eyes bleed

For what it's worth.....your attempt to switch to a bulk grow will most likely fail. Better to get some shrooms from cakes (I assume you've done before?), than nothing at all. Do research on using bulk substrate first. Noobs tend to get excited and overly confident. The combination typically results in a project going in the garbage.

You can do it. Place them on rings on the perlite. If you're worried about clearance get a taller SGFC. Mist fan and fruits...?

Yes this will be my first time ever doing this. I have been reading ton's every day and watching lots of videos as well. I have 11 cakes almost ready to go. I guess I could always use two or three to try the BULK method and use the rest as originally planned just sitting in the fruiting chamber on top of the perlite, see what happens. Trial and error right? the fun part of being a noob. I have Golden teacher and B+, the Golden teachers are colonizing way slower than the B+.
