Weird Dream Thread
    #23918328 - 12/12/16 12:24 AM (7 years, 1 month ago)

fuckin weird dream, now i'm wide awake. seriously, Putin sent Harambe to rip this chick apart, and i was watching the mutilation through the lens of her fallen glasses, and thought "i gotta rewind that". LOL and what was she doing as this took place...talking to (someone) on an old 80's phone a la American Psycho. fuck, it had a story and everything, but i can't remember what the fuck...was it Putin...i fucking feel like it was Putin. <<<TL;DR post-side

my brain spewed out a retarded dream, because i've been sober for a few days, and they're starting to ramp up again...and that shit was funny as fuck to me, and i'm posting about it...i mean 80's cellphones...weaponized Harambes sent to kill people...c'mon....i just wish i remembered the preceding parts so i could give the whole details. i didn't even get on the Harambe train, which is why it's extra surprising to me, too, that that meme ended up, randomly, in my dreams (well, the meme came to me when i woke up, but it was close enough to warrant the comparison)...the only things that were current was the cellphone, because i posted a screencap of American Psycho- and the feeling like it was a part of some conspiracy. crazy world. crazy pop-culture world...yesterday i had dreams about a waterpark and playing like a child and shit...old friends, in another, talking about making music again...they were alot different than this, literally, thirty minute dream. or at least thirty minutes was how long i was out...dreams apparently happen very quickly.... once i had a dream where i was sent on a warp drive, that i had to sling shot around a planet to gain enough speed (a la Back To The Future; that damn pop-culture shit again!) to use it...and i warped to a planet where i was to trek through and blow away dudes to find this artifact that i was supposed to collect for this interstellar universal Unreal Tournament-like gameshow (again, pop-culture! damn you infecting my dreams!), and then i had to go back to my cratered ship...and launch it again (how? i dunno) and sling shot back into the warp drive back to my mothership...that mothership was cool as fuck. then i got to the chambers of my superior and displayed the prize...and i was fucking cool, for like an hour.

but yeah, i didn't draw the Harambe connection until i woke up; during the dream it was just a big giant ape attack, to me. i just decided it was so hilarious to me that i'd make it into a meme, so i would never forget...and like i said, i forget the rest...maybe it wasn't Putin. maybe it was just some random shadow figure...who knows, my brain just makes this shit up, it's a dream.

but boy was it weird. one minute i was thinking about politics (damn shroomery), then the next, i'm witnessing shadowy weaponized ape murder and thinking, i wanna rewind; i thought i was watching a movie. :lmafo: then it's like "oh it's only been a half-hour i've been in bed? might as well get back up, i'm wide awake."

Sounds like your sleeping brain has a directorial flair to it.
That's cool, dreams can be so entertaining. I too remember my dreams much better when I sleep sober. Writing them down as soon as you wake up helps a lot, and it's awesome to read them later and recall the dreams in great detail.

I've had some dreams which were obviously influenced by various video games, including at least one dream where I identified as a 2-Dimensional character on a screen.

I think dreaming is one of my favorite activities. So many great and personal adventures lie in the darkness of our skulls.

oh my God, you know how many times i've dreamed in the way of a video game.......oh my fucking God.

i've had Goldeneye dreams, GTA dreams, i mean, not but a couple days ago, i had a John Wick dream- noted, that's a film, but it played out like a game. i had once a long long time ago, a Sonic dream (i've had a few but...); my bed mattress loosed and fell away like a cargo bed almost, and i fell into the blackness, then next thing i know, it's like i'm playing Sonic and my ass is sliding down this waterslide (oddly enough i had a waterpark dream just the other night) -- i thought the whole time, "i'm gonna fall!" (remember that? falling in games? always sucks, right?) and it was frightening as fuck.

i had a dream once where i was a soldier and i was dipping and dodging and shooting people, and leaping through windows...but then the dream got real dark...i tried to hide behind some shed, in some foliage-laden place...it continued to get dark, so i did what i commonly do (i used to just close my eyes and yell bloody murder to wake up; more on that....) i Hulk jumped into the clouds, and leaped elsewhere...and continued my dream, without the dark "follower" (i guess you could say).

once i had a dream where i was blind...yes, blind...and i was in my school, and there were demons and monsters all around me, growling in my ear, slithering around...and i was stumbling blind...i tried to scream myself awake...the one time, now, it didn't work...so i had to inch my way into the darkness, until i ended up at the top level of the school, which had broken away into girders and open air...the sun shined, and i was no longer blind, and damn did it feel good to see the sun and the streets again.

but yeah, video games...films...sometimes intense DMT-like experiences.

dreams are the shit.

Haha, I've screamed to wake up once. When I was younger, my first memory of having a really lucid dream where I completely realized I was asleep.

I was at the dream-store with my family and as we left I realized, these weren't my real parents.
I screamed a lot hoping I would scream out in real life and someone would wake me up. No such luck.

I guess I still remember that one because it was scary as hell.

Should have played Kingdom Hearts. A boy and his friends fighting darkness with light and a Key to unlock the Heart of the World.

I've had that one quite a few times.

My favorite is when I'm hopping around on my super dope staff like a pogo stick sparring with my Spirit for shits an giggles. First I'm slowing time down through my jumps, next I'm fast as lightning building... I guess the Great Wall of China, then someone comes by an spoils my fun. Sometimes we just sit there. Sometimes I submit and we go places and learn things. Other times I just avoid her and say "boys will be boys." Every now and then we fool around too.

I generally don't have nightmares because I always escape and kick their ass, but I do get the occasional bad dream. Usually tied into lame ass self image stuff and material worries. I get bored with them so easily I just wake up and deprive myself of sleep the rest of the night, depending on how long I've been asleep. Dying sucks though, it's not fun. I don't consider getting killed in your dream a nightmare or a bad dream, it's something totally different.

sometimes the oddest things are striking or evil-feeling in dreams.

like...ever have a dream before where you read a book, that explains that you can have "bad energy" in you, and that you can have it taken out, and then go into a serious bad trip electro shock seance type thing, and then have it tell you stuff, that you can't remember upon waking, and then for 10 minutes you're just doing diagnostic energy bullshit, with a book intelligence, and then it becomes malevolent/trickster on you, when you go from saying "yeah, since i'm already on this couch being fuckin trolled hard by some intelligent being, and being driven down a dark highway at 10,000 miles per hour, metaphorically speaking, why not, go your thing" to "ok, i'm done now right? stop please" and then it asks you if you think you have any ribs and you do "no, please stop", and it goes "no? oh look you're right, *rib disappears* there is no rib here" *puts many fingers in rib hole* (fuck off Legion, seriously?) and then you wake up having all the energy in your seemingly at that one point, still burning in RL?

it did me. it was fucked.

It fucking sucks man. I think people who've had near death experiences have it lying in their subconscious.

I sometimes wake up in a pool of sweat, blood boiling, with my heart POUNDING. Not fast but it feels like it would explode. I don't remember those dreams.

I have really good control over my nightmares. As soon as they come around I go through the ceiling and fly away. Well, not all the time. Sometimes my ego is a pain in the ass and knows my tricks. When that happens all I do is think of the time I almost died as a kid... ceiling melted into Jesus and rainbows everywhere. That one always gets me through the worst.

that's intense. i've heard there is great lights and sounds in a NDE...i've never had one (thankfully) but it sounds immense.

:sadyes: when i was having these night terrors (in false awakening's) one time i had seen the face of my terror...it felt like it was haunting me, and i saw it glaring and smiling right up in my face like an image of a shadowed darkness, barely making out the outline of a wide smile and wide eyes.

that time was incidentally at the time i was starting to become used to occurrence (for a week it went on) so i had figured out well enough that "weird out of place feeling of reality = REMEMBER YOU WENT TO SLEEP; YOU'RE DREAMING" and so this time, i really gathered that "weird horrible feelings and surreality = not real = time to control this shit" and i did...i started to man my dream like as if i was lucid dreaming...but i tried my tried and true method of escaping horror in my nightmares which is to jump very far away from the events happening; this time however i tried to jump out of window and out towards the roof of a parallel house that i KNEW was threre, because i realized i was dreaming, but guess what, the house i knew was there, wasn't anymore and it was all pure oceanic darkness. i lept, i thought "well, fuuuuu..." and i landed on...well i landed on a roof, no shit, but it wasn't there, it was like my brain couldn't decide whether this was just blackness or the roof i proposed my brain to leap to, and so i felt it all like i was jumping to and landing on it, but it wasn't anything at all, though i landed there, planted on what seemed to be very well a slanted roof.

I've had that experience awake. It's um... I don't know how to describe the feeling. Surreal but at the same time SOFUCKINGREAL I guess is the feeling, but not exactly a description or definition. It's like you're having hallucinations that don't change and follow you everywhere you go. It's like looking at a mirror, but you're looking at Him and you're like "Should I stay or should I go?" PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT puts a whole new perspective on what the fuck is reality. I just say "I don't know, and I don't wanna know."

Your ego learns your tricks quickly. I tried flying through the cieling in the witch's dungeon after I'd done it already... didn't work. Another time I made it through but my ankle got grabbed. Both times I looked up, thought of Jesus, and BAM problem solved. He kicked her fucking ass man. Then He yelled at me for playing games when I should be in "school" or sleeping peacefully. Then I was like AAAAW You do care! Then He yelled at me some more and put my ass to bed, dream over. He's really good at yelling. It's like that song "Here Comes The BOOM!"
