I'm biased as I personally loathe it, but I consider it a somewhat hard drug but mainly a boring drug for me personally. It had some novelty in high school that ended as soon as I tried weed

the thing about drugs being addictive or dangerous has just as much to do with personal chemistry. im an alcoholic/poly substance abuser and to me alcohol is my heroin. ive done oxymorphone, morphine, oxy and other weaker opiates and to me they have almost no recreational value. I tried to like them and I have a super addictive personality but thank fucking god they just don't do anything for me. for me alcohol is 100000X more addicting than opiates. So for me alcohol is a "harder" drug then heroin. But really addiction is all dependant on the person. No hard drug is any more addicting than another. For Alcohol, Cocaine, and opiates, about 15% of people who try them will have dependency issues regardless of substance of choice

Sponsors should stat selling booze sounds like they'd make a killing in here fuck spores..
Booze is fine by me cars have enough safety gadgets it is pretty self controlled cause if i drink too much i puke or pass out, bartenders are great at cutting me off, fights are funnier and cops give ya a free place to pass out if my legs wont get me home or if i am just being a dick.
On the other hand a dealer just wants more money for any real drugs n will give ya as much as your pockets can handle n cops will just charge ya.

Yeah but withdrawals from alcohol are liable to kill you. Like, physically.

Shots or liquor always seems like bordering on a hard drug, whereas beer and wine seems more like a soft drug.
Shots always wake me up for a bit, they feel more electric, beer/wine make me chill more.
I guess every substance or intoxicant will have some degree of personal effects, or that it's possible to have personal relationships with the effects of said substances.
I haven't had a proper shot in well over a year so it would most likely have a slightly different effect on me now than it used to.

True.
It's been longer than a year since I have had a shot, so things might be different for myself as well.

Ive had some pretty deep, thoughtful even spiritual experiences on alcohol.
Definitely a dynamic drug for sure.

-Do you consider it a hard drug or a soft drug? Somewhere in the middle, but closer to soft
-Do you consider how it affects your biochemistry? Somewhat, because I dont seem to enjoy as much as others
-Do you consider set & setting while drinking? Yes, I only drink moderate amounts in social settings
-Would you consider taking brakes if you develop a tolerance. I never plan on developing a tolerance
-Do you try to accentuate your alcohol high? Yes, because it kinda sucks on its on. Better with weed or kratom or a stimulant
-How do you view alcohol compared to other drugs? Its a mediocre one, but also the most easily accessible and makes socializing easier
-Is alcohol recreational or therapeutic for you? Recreational, although one drink can be crudely therapeutic
-When you drink how often do you try to get as a high as possible? At most maybe 3 times a year, and generally when theres no other substances involved
To sum this up, the only reason I drink is because its generally the most commonly used social substance . I greatly prefer the effects of weed, but I find the majority of people dont derive social enhancement from it, unless its maybe a small intimate group. I think stimulants do a much better job as they energize and increase the urge to socialize, but theyre generally viewed as less "healthy" and are much less accessible. Benzos do a better job of killing inhibition and lowering anxiety, but they're almost too clean I think, not delivering the same euphoric boost that alcohol does

It has many bad points, but it's the best social drug in the world. I remember even in my 30's when nearly all my friends had left my grad school town. On Saturday night I remember thinking should I stay home alone or should I go to this neighborhood place and have 5 drafts alone.
So I moved back to my home town and quickly learned how to be a regular. Now your life is completely different. I never think about going out and being alone. I go out and, and maybe I'm killing myself, but I'm doing it very slowly. I'm almost 60, my med exams come back really good. I do 50 pushups a day. I pay almost nothing; I stock cases and throw away the used bottles, and not to get too complicated, but my tip is most of what I pay.
Two other benefits, I'm not the greatest pool player in the world, but I'm good. I lost my right eye in June, and ironically it has not effected my game at all. Apparently if you're right handed your right eye has no effect in pool.
The other thing is on weekends. especially you get some assholes who want to maybe threaten you directly or eyefuck you. Not to elaborate, but my friends (good guys but more aggressive) surround them and ask them if they want to get their ass kicked inside the bar our outside.
So back to the original question. Alcohol is destructive, yes, but lite beer is a very slow demise, maybe 5 years out of my whole life, and how good would those last years be. I know about shrooms and alcohol, but IDK, I'm not questioning my decisions at this point, but I'm mostly enjoying my later years.

-Do you consider it a hard drug or a soft drug? iT'S A HARD DRUG
-Do you consider how it affects your biochemistry? YES AND IT ANNOYS ME
-Do you consider set & setting while drinking? YES, I NEVER DRINK IN PUBLIC
-Would you consider taking brakes if you develop a tolerance. YES BUT UNFORTUNATELY ADDICTION DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY NOW DOES IT?
-Do you try to accentuate your alcohol high? WITH WEED? SURE
-How do you view alcohol compared to other drugs? AS DANGEROUS AS ANY OTHER DRUG THAT CAN MAKE YOU COMMIT CRIMES WHILE INTOXICATED AND KILL YOU IN THE LONG TERM
-Is alcohol recreational or therapeutic for you? RECREATIONAL, BUT ITS JUST WHAT I DO AT THIS POINT
-When you drink how often do you try to get as a high as possible? NEVER, I KNOW MY SWEET SPOT AND I KEEP IT THAT WAY

- As hard as my cock while my nose rests nestled under a young latino's 2 day unwashed ballsack. - Yes, and the hospitals do as well. I've been several times due to my alcoholism. My spit is pink sometimes due to the mixed blood from my esophageal erosion. - Yes, and the type ov alcohol varies accordingly. - Breaks? A break is moderating with beer after hospitalizations and forced abstinence with animated hallucinations ov dead people like Aleister Crowley and Burroughs. - The accent you ate was an '08 Hyundai. Took it right in the driver door like a raped top into the bottle at a horny Turk's house. - It's unique and versatile. A stimulant, a depressant, and a psychedelic all the same. One's addiction fits one's dereliction and imaginatory life fiction. - It's recreational and therapeutic, and de-creational and debilitating. It's a poly whore like Babalon. - Usually not because i do'nt want more hospital bills to evade.
