Started with alcohol, but that kinda makes you feel like shit, then started taking pills and before I knew it I wasn't taking opiates to deal with the weed anxiety I was smoking weed to deal with the side effects of taking pills.
Oh yeah, alcohol completely ruins the weed high. I've tried them together, I have a friend who likes to get crunk but it's not for me, it brings me down to the second circuit of consciousness when I want to be on the fifth. Alcohol on its own or with caffeine can be alright, at one point I was downing 8 beers a day and drinking huge cups of coffee.
I've never tried smack or pills, except for Abilify which I'm on for bipolar; I decided to start taking it because I was tired of the super-draining depression. It seems to work and doesn't interfere with my highs as it's not a dopamine blocker like other antipsychotics.

Yeah I feel ya. I would never recommend pills to anyone, stole 10 of my prime years from me, but it also made me what I am to get through it.
I'm taking kratom for the depression, which seems to be working amazing so far. One little dose every day and I am clear-headed and happy. I keep waiting for things to head south but so far so good.

I've never done kratom, does it get you high? I'm hesitant to substitute anything for the Abilify since I heard that if you stop taking it the symptoms get even worse then they were before. Basically I resisted taking it for almost a decade, then decided on it as a last resort after my last depressive episode, the time I was absent from the shroomery before the time I was here before being banned. I was feeling absolutely crushed for no good reason, even with weed, and now I'm feeling fine. One thing I would definitely never take are SSRIs, they destroy libido, sometimes even permanently after stopping the drug.

It probably would get you high, not me after ruining my opioid system for so many years.
I haven't heard of any cases of kratom treating bipolar, and I'm not a doctor, but you might want to look into it. I think it kinda sucks if you take it more that 1x/day, and it's awful if you take too much, but that is just my experience. Alot of my depression was directly linked to opiates at that point which is something it is well known to help with.
Sorry you had to go through that. I've had the same thing happen where I couldn't even bring myself to post here. Glad to see you back around.

Sorry you had to go through the pill problem, that sounds worse to me since it's physical rather than just psychological. When I first started doing drugs (I was 18) I had a friend who was coaching me and he was adamant about staying away from physically addictive drugs. I've been following a thread where someone is withdrawing from benzos, sounds like hell and I imagine it was similar for you with opiates.

Yeah I mean it was really tough at times, but I always had my family stick by me and somewhere along the line I learned to try to have a positive attitude even when I don't feel like it. Everyone faces hardship, and I definitely wouldn't say my lot is so bad.
But yeah I was one of the really lucky ones. I know people far better than I who did not fare so well.

I like Tramadol, it gives me a weird "floaty" feeling in my legs that i don't get from other opiods.

I ate my dogs Tramadol once, I feel bad about it now.
I felt bad about taking my dogs tramadol once too but then the next time we gave it to him he got really sick so in hindsight I think I may have done him a favor.
If I were you OP I'd just give them to someone with no tolerance OR hang on to them and use them when you sprain your wrist or something. You know. Use them. Like medicine.

One time I took my cat's buprenorphine, and I didn't even feel it, but she was already better so I don't think she really held it against me.
