Lemon balm and chamomile are supposed to be sedating

You can make tea out of catnip that calms you down and has a light sedation effect. I've used it before and it works. I'd buy the stuff from herbal shops online though, I don't know about using the pet store stuff.
They make teas you can buy in the grocery store with melatonin in them, but you're better off just taking a 1mg supplement if that is your goal. They have other calm teas in stores too, but I haven't tried them.
Also, when drinking caffeine, try green tea or try taking an l-theanine supplement with coffee. Makes you less anxious and jittery, and supposedly synergizes with the caffeine to do so. Takes the edge off so to speak. Green tea has it naturally though.

Have heard of kava not to sure what it is. I have green tea in hand I'll give it a ago. And have charamel tea I have heard for its sedative proportions ( i.e. Use to help sleep at night.)
And I chief like a mad man all day and have been taking xans. I had some coffee and I didn't enjoy the wired anxiety feeling so I was curious if there's a nice mellow hot drinks I could sip
I'll get those that were reccomnded and see how I enjoy them peace:

I need to re stock, but I like taking a stack of rhodiola rosea, l-theanine and valerian root extract with my coffee in the morning and a light boost mid day. I added noopept in for about a week before and the effects were amazing especially while working and dealing with customers and doing hands on things as well.

Try kratom while it's legal. You'll need a larger dose to hit the mellower side of it (low dose=stimulant heavier=sedative) but i find it works great for that.
Also like the poster above said, catnip works surprisingly well.

As an oil, you gotta lube your anus with it, otherwise the stomach enzymes will break it up and shit

Lol. Me and SonicTitan just commented on our Rhodiola use.
I love Rhodiola. Adaptogenic herbs in general are really good and more relaxing and stabilizing than green tea IME but green tea is also really good and healthy and they combine together well.
Rhodiola is what I'm using right now and I like it. BulkSupplements on Amazon has a good Rhodiola product. (The one that's %3 Rosavin).
L-theanine is a good supplement to take to reduce stress. But I just get my L-Theanine from the green tea I drink.
Fun fact: L-Theanine is a Positive Allosteric Modulator of GABA receptors - EGCG in Green tea is a Second Order Positive Allosteric Modulator of GABA - So It increases the effects of Theanine when you get it from Green Tea.

Lemon Balm is the best I've come by, but it makes little sense to drink it as tea when you can just eat the leaf and receive larger amounts of the active compound(s)
I've also tried vaping it, seems to give a fleeting but relaxing high

Kratom is so great. It might be a bit misleading to suggest it as a tea without warning that is stronger than normal tea and contains opioids though. It has SNRIs that act as stimulants and it's related to coffee but if you take a larger dose you can get really relaxed and even nod off a bit. Large doses can actually get you pretty high but they can give you wicked nausea and make you puke so start low.
Black tea has caffeine but it also has L-theanine which is relaxing.
I believe green tea also has both caffeine and l-theanine. Tea typically has less caffeine than coffee though.
Chamomile is supposed to be relaxing. I don't like it though.
Catnip is also relaxing.
