Asante I'm proud of you for achieving 10 pounds of weight loss. I really am. I'm just afraid that if you continue to focus merely on your amount of fructose consumption, eventually your weight loss might stall out. There is only one method to losing weight, and it's taking in less calories than you burn. I wish the best in terms of weight loss in the upcoming year. I think next summer my family and I are taking a trip across Europe. So who knows, maybe I'll be in town and we can work out together or something

Found a hobby that made a big difference in my way of thought and made me feel free for the first time in a long time.
Reconnected with my psychonaut side and since then i cant help but smile while walking forward, even if there's no set destination.
2016 started rocky but after a few stumbles i found myself again, when i wasn't looking and when i least expected it. I thank everyone in this community for their guidance. Cheers!

Asante you seem to have some nebulous problem with the way things in 2016 went, but you're really only speaking for yourself. 2016 wasn't bad at all.

Trump Won
It was seriously one of the best years of my life.
Hillary seizing up and having her limp body dragged into a van was also pretty fun.
Alot of shit happened and the doubters and those that ridiculed trump supporters will be crying for years to come.
We are winning so much i might get tired of it...

I quit cigs too, for the most part at least. I smoke now and then, like 1-2x per week, but I can't be a regular smoker without the dope. Also stopped smoking weed, just kinda got sick of needing it to be happy, and I ended up being much happier without it.

2016 is one of my best years EVER. The first year in my life I am free from severe mental illness. I get clean from an opiate addiction. I continue to make psychological and spiritual improvements every day. Mind and body, I am the healthiest I have ever been.
Only positivity here

I quit drinking (335 alcohol free!) and started a business that is really taking off. With that I have made connections and am getting to collaborate with some amazing humans on work that is fulfilling on every level.

Although I was a daily drinker - withdrawal symptoms were very minimal for me.
I don't know if it's because I drank relatively "small" amounts or what.....

Is Asante the best thread starter on this site?
For me I would say it wasn't such a bad year because I followed through on several things to make me a better person or just had things happen that made my life a little easier/better...
1. Read roughly 1 book per month for the entire year
2. I finally joined toastmasters after years of contemplating on taking the plunge
3. Got myself back into the dating scene after a little hiatus...I crushed mad pussy this year (sweet humble brag, right?)
4. Rode about 3000 miles on my bike in 2016
5. After many failed attempts at finding/trying DMT, I said fuck it and successfully made my own.
6. I've given away DMT to just about anyone willing to take it to help spread the word. I've also mailed it to friends and even friends of friends...doing this made me feel very good on the inside.
7. Got a promotion at work
8. Paid off my student loans in full
I basically made 2016 my bitch is what I'm saying.

Marijuana legalized in a number of new US states, further entrenching legalization and making it even harder to fight.
Economy is looking good.
There was no World War 3 or nuclear armageddon.
Privatized spaceflight is continuing to do extremely well.
