Just wanted to share a site I came across that has a crapload of alphabetically organized, high quality pics for id purposes. There are quite a few obscure species in here that are otherwise rather tough to pin down with a verified pic. Just an example, 31 different Pluteus species, most I've never even heard of...

Cool! thanks for the link.
They have so many more Panaeolus than I knew existed.

I figured this might come in handy for the TI's and it was actually a search for Panaelous that led me to the site.
Another interesting example is Gallerina. I was surprised at 25 different species, google shows all of about 5 and now I'm wondering if what I typically assumed was autumnalis may have been badipes or cerina.

I believe there are more than 300 species of Galerina. I only see 11 Panaeolus listed there (including Pan foe), there are definitely more than that.
Not trying to take away from the site, it is pretty cool.

It's a cool link with a lot of nice pictures.
However worth noting that it is obviously a European site. Not all species listed do occur Stateside. Also quite a few of the names used are deprecated, although this isn't really a problem if one knows the current ones.

To be fair, several of the pans i see from just briefly glancing at the list now represent invalid taxa. For example, they have p. retirugis, p. sphinctrinus, both outdated synonyms of pan papilionaceus.
However, i will say that some, such as p. dunensis, are certainly new to me.

Lovely examples of Ganoderma, though the G.applanatum looks a bit dark it might be because it is the European variety. These are good for reference.

Glad to be of assistance. On the subject of good reference, your Ganoderma guide is exceptional, I'd like to do something similar with Pluteus in the future.
