San Pedro Verification
    #2390793 - 03/01/04 12:27 PM (13 years, 7 months ago)

I just aquired this from a local greenhouse. It was labeled as "San Pedro". It appears to be a San Pedro to me based on the pictures I've seen, but its the first one I've been in contact with. I Just wanted to make sure I actually got what I was told I did.
When should I start watering this guy more heavily for the growing season?

Better lighting quality and a nice shot of the spines will get you an ID quicker.

My friend has a san pedro cactus and it doesnt look anything like your cactus. Its light green, has more spines and is a slight bit fatter. The color and shape probably doesnt have too much to say about what type it is but the amount of spines probably does.

Actually spines vary ALOT....  one of the ways to tell is that pedro has this thing of sticking its spines up at a 45 degree angle,....  the spines are right on the corner of this stair-step thing..  I wish I had photoshop to circle what I'm talking about on some pictures...

I'm with FH though, the fucker knows his stuff
