Started this block the first week of January. This is the first shitake I've done. Does it look normal?

I have very little experience with Shiitake so someone correct me if I'm wrong but that white blob on the left doesn't look good to me- maybe a closer picture? (I only have a phone for Internet so excuse my small screen).

Should be pop corning and browning by now. It doesn't look ok to me.

You can  always try to birth it. May be yield won t be good, but it 'll probably give you a mush or two

I have another bag made on the same day, bit look identical. Maybe I screwed something up somewhere. I haven't tosses the bag yet, I have 6 more in different stages, most getting the popcorning I assume, maybe not. I'll try to remember to get some pics tonight.

Thanks! 3782 is about as easy as it gets with shiitake.

One ugly shiitake! Not very happy with this shiitake. I bought it in plug form from FP .No wonder they didn't have it named. Not even close to 3782.
