If you want to check out a better book about Leary, try Timothy Leary's Trip Thru Time by RU Sirius.  Can be found here for ten bucks.

I recently read PIHKAL as well, that was a well written book, Alexander and Ann definitely know how to write and describe themselves brilliantly.

it's so nice to see how many psychonauts are into reading. I was never a book fan until I tried psychs. now I love reading. I just finished reading fear and loathing in las vegas. the book is way better than the movie imo. now I am reading the doors of perception by Aldous Huxley. I am thinking about re-reading the electric kool aid acid test, sometime soon. that book is so cool.  :einstein:

Been reading much less over holiday times, but working on the watchmen series, on 4 right now, reading one every night or 2, I've been neglecting my growing stack of "to read" graphic novels.

The Doors of Perception was really great.  One of the best trip reports ever.  It's weird to think that after writing that he changed his style so much to write some of his other works.

I'm on book 3 of Dune.

I'm struggling right now to get through Red Mars by Kim Stanley Robinson. It's been called one of the most realistic interpretations of how humans would colonize Mars by a lot of scientific communities. I'm trying to read more modern Sci-Fi books and this one came with a lot of accolades.

I'm really digging the book, but with the holidays and my youngest son being born the beginning of November I haven't had the time to devote to reading more often.

i'm working on The Elephant Vanishes by Haruki Marakumi.  first of his [set of] stories i've read, and i'm blown away and only 2/3 through it.  funny, sad, thought-provoking/reflective.  great writing style.  i can't wait to explore more.

also working on Second Foundation by Issac Asimov.  Not enjoying it as much as the first two parts of the series, but i've also not delved into it as hard or frequently as the first two.

one of these days, i'll finish The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo
