Some weird shit in mycelium
    #23904597 - 12/07/16 06:38 PM (7 years, 1 month ago)

So a few years back I gave away my microscope to someone who needed it. What a bad move. How ever I just bought a new one. I have a 40x - 2500x amscope.

I purchased it to essentially verify what stage mycelium growth is in and to verify if any bacteria is present in any the cultures I have cleaned via staining.

I was playing around with the scope tonight by looking at some Yellow Oyst Myc and came across something I have never noticed before. Things moving inside of mycelium strands.

Does any one have any idea what these are? I also posted a video link and a picture.

Been a long time since biology and just what is inside of cells.  Never did cover fungi cells either.  Remeber cells are living to a point.

Yup some species also produce chlamydiospores which you could be seeing , can't remember if yellow oysters do or not.  I have a list somewhere.
