I also was interested in the idea of a pressure washer misting system... I don't get why you would need a tank of any sort.. possibly something to regulate the pressure down from 1500 to 1000 psi

You need a tank to keep the pump from short cycling. Kicking on and off constantly will fry the pump.

Gr0wer, I am still digging up useful posts that i have missed. Below is my system that I plan on using. This is also given in another thread you have posted in, FYI. Please note that if your water is hard, a RO system will be essential.
I will be using a 1000 psi fogging system (1.2-36 micron droplets), $700 plus a little shipping. The service life of this setup should be many years with very minimal maintenance. The droplet size is equivalent to ultrasonic foggers, which typically averages about 5 micron.
Pumptec 80832 113C-065/M35-8 1000psi 120V misting pump, $349.45 (steam-brite.com) Pumptec 70115 REGULATOR, 9019, 1000PSI, $37.00 (steam-brite.com) iSpring RCC7 Reverse Osmosis - 75 GPD, $190 (Amazon) Stainless Misting Nozzle 5pk 0.006"/0.15mm $21.95 (arizonamistingsolutions.com) SS Misting Tubing 8',4x10/24 1/2" riser, 24" spacing, $39.95 (amfog.com) Additional SS tubing to connect to pump, probably under $40

Gr0wer, I will let you know how it works.
I am still a bit confused on maintaining high humidity and then adding supplemental misting. How important is supplemental misting for oyster mushrooms when you maintain the humidity level at about 90 percent.
If I recall correctly from one of your videos, at one point you were adding supplemental misting for 6-7 seconds every 40 minutes.
