Unfortunately, these are not! They are Coprinellus micaceus, also known as Mica Caps. They are a type of Inky cap that auto digests its gills into ink in order to spread spores. I'm only starting out with identification of mushrooms in general, but I'm pretty confident that's what these are. But because I'm still studing mushrooms please take my identification with a grain of salt. Perhaps someone with more experience will chime in.

I can say with 100% these are not liberty caps (Psilocybe semilanceata) though.

But if you can confirm that I'm right, Mica caps can be considered edible and I heard they are tasty! But please make sure to double check before you eat any mushroom. Pick the younger ones that haven't started or only just started turning black on the edge. You can cut off the black bits and cook them. But you have use them within a few hours because they will melt away! From my research says Mica Caps doesn't have coprine like some of the inky caps do, so alcohol shouldn't be a concern lie some of the other inky caps.

Though make sure to finish up the confirmation for yourself! Try to avoid relying on internet ID information alone, always use multiple resources. I wish you luck in your search!
