What does one do to help anal wounds heal?

Don't know quite what caused it but theres a small open wound right inside my ass, I know I don't want hemorrhoids so what does somebody do to help the situation along?
I'm guessing drinking more water will be recommended, but I drink what more than one person has called a synonym for an absurd amount of water.

Doc gave me cream for one of those. Anal fishers they're called. I believe you should try to make sure it doesn't get dry too (probs to prevent further tearing.)

*Anal Fissures, some hemorrhoidal creme will lessen the pain and keep it from getting worse.

Oh ahaha ass fishers...
Most people tear their rectum at least once in their life. And often don't notice because it doesn't bleed alot. My doc actually found mine by mistake, I was actually bleeding from a cyst farter up my crack near my lower back. Made getting a proper diagnosis take longer which made the cyst worse and they eventually cleaned and cauterized it without anesthesia and that sucked.
I'm assuming your 99.99% sure it is an anal tear tho, by the way you stated. Was it bleeding or did you notice the pain first?
And yeah I'd say you strained too much or had particularly hard stool. Thats how most people get them.

Believe it was hard stool, felt the pain then the blood in one go I believe.
Back when I was a junkie I had such a wound for my entire addiction, it just kinda existed and bled a little daily. dunno if thats relevant
Yogabunny, I have normal coconut oil. I'd never heard of fractionated stuff. Should I eat it or is it the other obvious answer?

Some good advice above. To prevent hard stools from forming in the future, i also recommend reducing your water intake. Over-hydration leads to depletion ov your essential minerals through frequent urination. The most important ov these in relation to your stools are potassium and magnesium, which help stool cells retain water. The amount ov water one drinks actually has little effect on poo moisture. As long as one hydrates adequately, it's the two mentioned minerals which aid the most in that regard.

Strange. I've always heard you schould increase water intake if you're having problems with constipation and hard stool.

And it could be that frequent or untreated tearing in the past has made your colon wall more fragile. If it happens again or if this one doesn't heal up definitely go and get your doc to stick a finger up there and have a "look."
Most of them are relatively quick about it so it's not as uncomfortable as you'd think.

I do drink water obsessively, but I'm skeptical.
The difference between a dry or moist morning is how hydrated I am IME is all .

A common but erroneous belief. Adversity to accepting my stance is expected, but chapter 2 ov Konstantin Monastyrsky's book Fiber Menace sets forth some factual evidence on the claim. My logic and body fully agree with his findings that overhydration as well as excessive insoluble fiber intake are detrimental to colorectal health.
