Ps. Cyanescens Woodlover Advice

Hi, I just wanted a second opinion on how I should go about cultivating this species. I've done research but had some questions relating to my specific situation. So, I managed to get about five free grain spawn bags of cyanescens in July, each with about 5.5 lbs of healthy spawn. I used three of them, but have only now got around to using the other two. For the three I used, I soaked maple woodchips for a day and mixed in the spawn into several containers which have now been in my closet for over 3 months. The containers look fully colonized and healthy despite skipping sterilization/pasteurization.
I guess my question would be: Is it OK to move these colonized woodchips outside into beds even though its winter? (temps around here drop below freezing, I'm in zone 6a). Or, should I wait until spring to move them; is this too long of a wait? Also, I have about 100 lbs of woodchips and those other two bags. I'm trying to decide if I should spawn them outdoors now, or indoors. I just really want to know if the cold could kill or negatively affect its colonization.
TL;DR: I had more spawn than I can deal with fall into my lap and am trying to find an efficient way to use it all.

Try and assemble this using a cold water tank kit. Or modify a fish tank and the water level.

Adapt to suit, just an idea.

OK good point I'll probably just keep everything indoors, then move them when spring comes. Hopefully a couple more months won't hurt. Thanks man.
