Do businesses actually do that? I've never seen them give food they're throwing away to anybody... for liability reasons, they usually don't, even if that food is going to be thrown in the garbage anyway. They don't want to be sued in case you get food poisoning or something.

Yeah because you probably feel superior to homeless people when they do perform a service to you. You feel above them so much so that you can only be generous to them if they do something for you so that you can look down upon them in pity.
I have no pity for them, ever.
That means you pity them

living in the woods myself. gonna start treking to my spot in an hour or so.
fucking huge spiders back there and i saw some deep burrow holes too so there are mammals in there as well but idk.
ill post pics tommorow.
my best advice is to avoid getting addicted to anything. being homeless is hard enough.
Also avoid major cities unless you don't mind people. i hate people. its easier to get food in the major cities but id rather have my privacy.
a tent> a shelter in my opinion but i can see why some would like the comforts over independence.

Appreciate it man. i've got my freedom and that's all i really need but if(when) i end up losing that you can write me letters n stuff..
People don't go hungry in this country. If they do it's by choice or abuse by a caretaker because there is plenty given away. I've never begged for money and i dont think i ever will. Not that you implied that. How u been?

Better than ever man. Nothing wrong with begging, as long as you do it aggressively to people that resent your existence.
I mean it though. Just never think nobody cares, it gets lonely out there.

this is fucking great and accurate for lots of street "kids" i've observed.
i just don't harbor that resentment towards "normal" folks. i chose to opt out and i don't blame anyone for that. i also just cant bring myself to beg because i dont really NEED to and am perfectly capable of working.
It is fun to watch though and i guess after some time the dirty looks do get to you but that's why i don't do the city thing(anymore) and don't talk to other homeless folks. i used to hang out with a pack of street folks though and they were very aggressive beggars. i dont miss it.
Unless someone saw me leave my camp they'd have no idea i lived outside. i also have family i can visit so that helps too.
Being off the heroin makes a world of difference as well.
im about to head out with my flashlight and a book for the night. ill take pics of my spot when i wake up.

Yeah, a week of min wage work can pay for a months living easily. Begging means daily humiliation and shame, its way worse than just operating a cash register or washing dishes.
If my career were to stagnate, Id just work some shit job or another for a few weeks every once in awhile. Looking forward to getting out and hanging my hammock up, so tired of living in a concrete box surrounded by cars, buildings and people on every side.
Fucked up my plans for getting out earlier in the year, should have stayed out with my friends at least

in bumble fuck maybe
9.25/hour vs a 1000-1200$ rent you'd be lucky to even cover it after a month i see rooms go for 800$ around here and it's only getting higher soon the people who went to college are going to be making 7 bucks more then the highschool drop outs raising the min wage is just a bandaid for out of control housing prices

Homeless people dont pay rent
Wages depend on your trade, experience etc, college doesnt open every door
