Cobweb??
    #23899126 - 12/06/16 07:14 AM (7 years, 1 month ago)

Hey all, i have what to me ( a very inexperienced grower) looks like cobweb.
It's not nearly as white or fluffy as the mycelium. You can see it around the small patches of mycelium.

Try more FAE.
Just looks like it needs more air.

Will do. I have the bottom polyfil tight, and the top relatively loose. I thought mycelium didn't NEED FAE as some people tape the holes during it.

You're in fruiting though.
Fruiting is facilitated by moisture evaporation.
As the moisture evaporates from the surface, nutrients are carried along with the water toward the surface.
This surface mycelium needs to have fresh air so it carries away the moisture laiden air... Promoting pinhead growth.

Your logic is not quite on.
Mycelium ABSOLUTELY NEEDS fresh air WHILE IN FRUITING.

Please describe...
Is this a cases substrate?
What is the substrate recipe?

I thought i was still in colonization since it was fully colonized yet. A few people told me i can do the polyfil now to start FAE.
But yeah i know it needs FAE during fruiting.

It's about  75 coir 25 verm.
2 pint BRF cakes spawned.

I know bulk is for grains, but i wanted to give it a go. not too fond of the fruiting as cakes thing.
