My first cactus, but what is it? * 1
    #23898814 - 12/06/16 01:45 AM (7 years, 1 month ago)

Hello everyone,

I recently acquired this stunner, is anyone able to confirm what it is exactly? It is currently 88cm tall, around 14cm diameter at its thickest and has 6 deep ribs. The spines are tiny, you would have to really make an effort to stab yourself.

The person I got it from thought it was San Pedro, but after getting home and doing some research, it doesn't seem to be. Is it Trichocereus Scopulicola? Sorry for the poor light.

I appreciate any help, thanks.

I'm not experienced but it could be within the Trichocereus sp. and if your lucky maybe it's a San Pedro! Just wait for someone more experienced to come along.

wow amazing dude if you are in Aus you should contact some other aussies and try to get some scop pollen for that,
there aren't enough scop x scop crosses out there and it's a plant that is extremely rare to find in habitat so I think we should try to preserve it

I know of some people on Facebook that have flowering scops right now, I could give you some names if you're interested.
