Here's one. I'm not a snooker player and I couldn't tell you the rules, but after seeing the thing happen, suddenly I understand snooker perfectly.
Perfection...

Most people wont appreciate this performance. Snooker is a very difficult game because not only are the pockets smaller than a normal billiard table, but the pockets are also rounded. So your shots have to be close to dead center pocket or else you will miss. This is absolutely incredible!

Ronnie is a fucking gun. Once he gets in the zone... shit.
snooker is fucking hard. My biggest break is only like 25. Couldnt even imagine a 12ft 147 break.

Anyone who has ever played a single game of pool should be able to appreciate the skill involved in that video.

What the hell? I've heard of snooker before but I thought it was played on a regular pool table. That is pretty impressive. I thought it sounded hard even on a regular pool table but damn.

The size of the table is a massive factor, what wouldve missed by an inch on your 9ball tables would miss by 3 or 4 inches with the extra distance travelled. Takes serious skill and a fuck ton of practice. I've seen delahunty come very close in person, he's done it before 1st Sth Aussie I think.

time, practice, fundamentals, all take a part in that.. the cues taper is smaller than what we are used to here in the states. i mean one minor mishap in the stroke and that cue is going anywhere it fucking pleases on the table.
cool shit, i appreciate the snooker/3 cushion/one pocket discipline. cool to watch the patience and the fundamentals on those types of players.

Snooker is awesome. Anybody play straight? I think it's my favorite, used to be 9-ball but my hardcore 9-ball days left me empty, depressed and broke.

used to see alot more straight but not in my current area, seems like straight and 10 ball dont get played here ever, at all..
i see 8/9 and one pocket mostly. when the money is in town, the big cash games are with one pocket around these parts.. and when it is in town, fuck its in town.

One pocket is the big cash game here too. I got into straight because my local pool hall used to have a monthly tournament but they stopped, my buddy and I play it a lot though, actually that's all we play. We were playing snooker a little bit but they got rid of the table and there just isn't any around

Yep, the US is in the hole again. Lots of sloppy play out there today.
BTW, the pockets are beyond super generous is the consensus, I believe in years past they were playing much tighter, what do you think?

that whole table seems off to me... it looks like a cross between a gold crown and diamond with the flat rails.
it did seem a little weird to me that those that rattled the pocket, the balls dropped. i wouldnt say super generous like 5 inch pockets, but i would say they are close to it.
i was at the last cup here in town... that table was god awful but the pockets did seem tighter.
SVB really needs to get his shit together. or team usa needs to let him sit out next year.

Yeah, these pockets are way too generous, several missed shots went down the hole.
SVB remains a mystery when it comes to this format, if he could just play average the US team would be happy.

after talking to some other pool players, we have decided that the rails have got to be soft.
that being said even with the 4.5 in pockets, the table will play different tomorrow once it has been cooked under the lights for a while.
hopefull thinking.. i suppose.
