hey, running two tubs currently, this is one of them. what can i do to hold it off? cut it out of the tub? i think i can extract it fine, the sub is already starting to shrink and pull from the wall, making it easy to get oo.

It's bacteria, it won't spead. It just won't colonize.  No need to toss, just fruit it until it gets some serious contamination.

Removing the uncolonized area may not be the worst idea IMO

Fuck yeah, i was telling everyone it would be fine, because the tub is fruiting pretty well currently, and id if you know this, but on this forum, we give back up evidence to what we say. (most of the time...)

however, when someone states "your spawn is fucked" people usually give information to back it up. "og, you have myc piss...trich and this is why we knoow that..."
i could say i have a 10 Pound dried ape. do you fucking believe me?

educate people with information and knowledge youve obtained, dont just throw answers out there without explaining how you have come to the conclusion my spawn was fucked, because ill post pics soon, this bitch is exploding.
i mean... look.. you said another fugi would take over my tub, and that if i  open my lid that i will spore-late my room with a contam, screwing future grows. Yet Tira else said its bacterial.

neither gave proof, however, Tira at least has something to prove him correct, the fact it hasn't spread.

There are no molds visible yet. Just wet uncolonized substrate, the wet spots could be bacteria, but that's almost impossible to say for sure without a scope. Bacteria is much easier to spot however when you watch myceliums reactions. Kinda like how your mycelium is having a classic bacterial reaction right now :P. Lumpy and thick. Definitely bacterial morphology.

Actually, considering you had bacteria in your spawn, there is a high probability of trich taking over your tub soon since bacteria = weaker mycelium and uncolonized areas of substrate.

thanks for the help guys. looks like ill be getting 2 flushes, its pinning like crazy, i should turn the heat up to 74ish, its at 67 and ive never seen tubs/jars take this long.

ill post pics in a few days.

i honestly thought it was uncolonized sub madseason, as it seems to have colonized and pinned around that area.

I was actually talking about everything else besides the uncolonized areas xD. Yes I noticed it tends to pin around uncolonized areas, that's when I started doing casings much more.

ahh i understand now. thanks for clearing that up!

my tub doesnt have a liner, and its pinning all over the sub, the sub has shrank so much. i dont see any on the top of my casing however, should i wrap the tub in tape aroun the sub so the mush grow up towards the light? or will the ones on the bottom just stall at that point since they no longer have a source?

they dont have chlorophyll, so does light honestly matter in fruiting? i know its a large pinning trigger.
