Monotub fruiting room
    #23884101 - 12/01/16 10:15 AM (7 years, 2 months ago)

Hey guys, I'm thinking about placing my 66Q monotub in a sort of walk-in closet (which is currently full of dirty shoes so proper nuking and cleaning is in order) But my question is following: is it big enough for a single monotub of this size (I want to keep the door shut and vent it 2-3 times a day and I have a spare ventilator capable of circulating the air inside im matter of minutes (theoretically). Should I place it in and put it on timed outlet??

pic of the room:

Nobody to add their 5 cents to the topic?? (Sorry for bumping the thread but I really want to know at least one opinion of someone knowledgeable)

This doesn't sound like it'll be enough for FAE. Ideally you want constant airflow.

A small 8" fan on a timer 30 min on/off should work. Change the lightbulb to something high up on the Kelvin.

I grew in this for almost 2 years, cakes and monos. Worked fine and similar to a closet grow. I kept it shut, just had a little vent behind the fan

Thanks man! I'll have to think how to get airflow from the outside then...

Actually it works well leaving a light fan running all the time just leave the door kinda of open like 1/2 inch. No air is ever really fresh but stall air screws things up. If you open once a day and mist in this method you get amazing pin sets

So since I'm currently reconstructing the appartment I decided to make a hole above the door and place a tubular fan inside.
this one:

It is able to pump 200m3/hour which is quite a lot (it should completely exchange the air in the room within a fex minutes) so what would be your suggestion on timing? Start with 10 minutes every 2 hours and move from there?
It's my first time dealing with monotub, I have grown 4 times brf cakes with success every time but I don't know how to judge the correct moisture of the sub. Anyone willing to help me dial in the room from photos?

With any fan running you'll have to pay attention to how the tub needs to be dialed in. I personally wouldn't fun run a fan in a small enclosure 24/7, I'd try and have it on a timer 30 min on/off. But just pay attention to the tub and dial it in to its environment and you'll be golden

Absolutely, I can tweak both timing on the fan and I can add more layers of micropore tape on the holes. BUT! The problem is it will be my first time dealing with tuning in a monotub, I've read this tek so I guess I know what to look for condensation on the walls-wise but since I have only experience with cakes I'm not sure how wet should the sub look... something in the line of wet, but no pooling of condensation??
