Habitat under some deciduous leafs , in pine needle duff under a pine (Douglas fir I believe) found them today 12/4/16 ground was fairly dry. Very near to Port Orchard Washington State on kitsap peninsula. found about 20 of the little guys, mostly solo a but in close proximity, a few in clusters of 2 to 3 look a little past prime, hence I.D. request , so spore print was to no avail,(perhaps there's another method of printing?) If there is I'm all ears and a sponge for any tips and or insight. Appears to be chocolate brown on Gill though. Pardon my lack of proper scientific identification terminology, still got a lot to learn . Continuing, cap width ranges from 1cm up to 3cm. Stems about to 3 to 5 cm in length & about 1/4cm thick up to 1/2 cm at base stem color light cream to light brown on a few of the more mature specimen , seem to be more whitish on younger ones. Stems are tough like that of cyans which has me thinking that there cyans that are a bit past there prime maybe? But I am second guessing that's not the case due to different texture of the cap. The cap is dry and appears to be kinda shaggy I guess is the term, kind of cracking apart , cap shape varies from conical to (consulting mycology glossary) I see now stipe is more proper lol. Caps are umbo as well as umbonate. Here's some pics ,there not as yellow as pic shows, no studio esque lighting :/ I really appreciate any help , or a push in the right direction. Thank-you

Put up some pictures so we can better identify what you found. Try reading this - How do I put pictures in my post?

Looking at the other photos in your gallery (they are of better size) it looks like an Inocybe species. Certainly nothing worth keeping.
