Hey all, What are some good books full of high quality trippy art. The kind I'm looking for is like the one in that guys signature where it has some guy with a cross (Probably jesus) and theres like a horse and carriage in the sky, and the legs get all spindly and thin farther down the page.

I'm not sure what signature you're talking about, but a good artbook is Alex Grey's Transfigurations. I don't think it's very much like what you described, but many people here have his artwork for avatars and signatures.

Salvador Dali is cool too. M.C. escher is awesome as well. Monet is pretty trippy too.

I've got "Sacred Mirrors" by Alex Grey and it's a wonderful book - sober or not.

not a book, but lots of images of this guy's paintings. altho he kinda freaks me out, reminds me of yanni for some reason.
also, i second anything by alex grey, salvidor dali, or m.c. escher. and may i add paul laffoley? images of his paintings on the web are hard to find, but he does have books. his paintings blow my mind, the man is a super-genius. the paintings are huge, intricate, and are explicitly designed to reprogram your mind as you stand looking at them. scary, no?
try http://www.dilettantepress.com/Artisthtdocs/Paul_Laffoley.html for starters.

I think you're talking about TODAY's signature, and that is a painting by Salvadore Dali. A great artist!

gee, kicking ass, and on my first post no less. thanks : )
for more laffoley, check out kent gallery's laffoley page [http://www.kentgallery.com/laf.htm]. small pictures [thumbnails are in the left frame], but worth a look.
also, we musn't forget about erowid's art section [http://www.erowid.org/culture/art/art.php]; plenty to gawk at there. this month's featured artist is especially nice [http://www.erowid.org/culture/art/artists_t/art_tolman_ben.shtml]. or check out the curator's picks [http://www.erowid.org/culture/art/art_curatorpick.php].
that's all for now, kids. if i stumble upon more, i'll let you know.
