Yeah the powder is often a protein concentrate made from the hemp - so it's great if you want primarily the protein, but the shelled seeds also contain a lot of healthy fats like omega 3 - so I prefer the shelled seeds

Cool okies, I just odered a sample pack of golden flax, ill look for a shelled hemp sample, see what i think of them.
Rather the seed than a powder, i do have a vegan powder for smoothies which im sure is loaded with protein anyway and all other goodies, pumpkin and chia seeds are in it but loads other powders like banana, moringa, spirulina, maca, wheatgrass etc etc.

I think thatll do for seeds now

I dont think ill add any nuts, i really only like two hahaha

Well over the last few years, maybe 3/4 i have changed so much for the better and become for health aware. Ill try not make it too long winded! Could probably go on for pages haha

Started with small changes like white to brown bread, marg for butter, white salt for pink himalayan, white sugar for coconut all things like that.
Added some super foods like chlorella, chia seeds and the like. Fresh fruit juices daily, fruit and raw veg, tho i only like raw carrots im still finding more i like raw! Helps digestion though.
Finding berries seeds and nuts i like that i can add, as i said above i got bee pollen recently to try.

Avoiding meds, pharma, heavy metals, stopped drinking tap water, avoiding ready food anything with funny names in, aspartame and all that rubbish. Toiletries all chemical free.
Added many herbal teas and the like. Reduced coffee.

Not needed a head ache pill or anything since i made these changes either so make of that what you will. No indegestion issues or other minor complaints that many people seem to have these days. My joints are better too.

Its amazing how things improve health wise, mental clarity, energy etc etc. Less bugs and illnesses, i havent needed any pills or remedies since i made these changes, tho i was a bit ill and off when i started i must admit. Detoxed a lot with zeolites, sometimes drink some diatomaceous earth as well.

Also started meditating, chakra work, learning of other methods, kundalini, using various entheogens, sometimes is for fun, i often meditate tho,
My most productive night so far this year was meacaline and moqui balls  i swear my mind travelled.

Anyway yeah, i made so many changes and still adding good foods and removing anything im not sure about, but im so much better in myself for it

I do use odd supplemets like additive free multi vit, mineral, a probiotic, but i dont use them all every day at all, if i feel a bug coming i use goldenseal, amazing stuff! Like a natural antibiotic.
Massage a natural magnesium oil (sea water) on skin daily - that alone fixed two minor issues for me naturally.

Anyways, thats where i am now
I know some think its over kill, paranoia etc, but we are organic and should eat organic, not douse ourselves in chemicals left right and centre, is no wonder we are a sick species

Those small changes; cut out bread, limit diary, remove sugar from diet; small changes over a week. Maybe the loss of a lbs but, over years, that's how many? Think about brain chemistry? motor function? artery health? Organs> I read Younger Thinner You diet by Dr. e Braverman upon a mentors suggestion. Takeaway> You are as old as your oldest organ in your body. Crazy stuff.

Yeah. I am put off by all the preservatives, the GMOs, and all the nasty shit put into our foods. I would eat all organic and natural but, even with that, you must be familiar with the good companies. Companies like AOR among others. Also, they certify everything as organic so, you really got to know your stuff.

How do you feel? Are you feeling a million times better? Typically, the swing from healthy or unhealthy usually is a huge shake up for change in your life. The good news is that, you got another chance, and I am glad you are doing right by it. Keep me posted.

Believe it or not but goji berries in chicken soup with shiitake mushrooms etc. are amazing. I like using silkie chickens (black skin white feathers) everything can be purchased at an Asian market.

I use shelled hemp seeds AND hemp protein powder.

I was pretty much doing what you were doing 3 months ago when I got clean from an opiate addiction. It was mostly money issues but I came to the conclusion that's best to avoid the supplement industry and it's products. You could quite literally spend spend a weeks wage on buying the hundreds of "super-foods" and "must have" supplements (Ginseng, ashwagandha, Ginkgo, whatever else your mind can conjure)
It also felt incredibly weird that I had to take so many powders and capsules (i.e. taking shortcuts, like what lazy people do!!)... even if they were 100% natural, safe and holistic.

And yes, nuts and seeds are incredible. Some of the healthiest foods (hemp seeds are probably #1) you can consume. Calories, fatty acids, carbs, vitamins, minerals and countless other incredible benefit containing compounds.
The only supplements (in my opinion, things I don't eat as food) I take are:

Fish Oil
Turmeric/Piperine extract
Wild, fresh Chaga tea
Reishi
I also take fresh Garlic gloves every day (Google the benefits. Powerful natural anti-microbial, cardiovascular support, body cleanser.... including heavy metals!, etc)
Extra virgin coconut oil (I cook with it, but I'll usually take a few tbsp a day, one before workouts)
Raw cacao

No dairy, no grains. Quinoa has replaced rice, etc for me!

:highfive:

I feel a lot better, mind clearer, bones and joints better, more energy, digestion all good, as i say since i made all the changes i think i used a paracetamol twice when i caught a bad bug in winter, but i treated that with goldenseal and herbal teas and was fixed in no time wasnt as ill as i usually wouldve been.

Ill defo continue as made huge difference all around.

My goji berries came today and they are yummy! Dont they taste good haha, ill defo order a large pack once these are gone, very tasty indeed

Got some flax seeds so ill try these, and will order some shelled hemp to try going off replies here.

I have been looking at all the diff medicinal mushrooms, i have chaga here ive been making tea with a glass a day, and some reishi but i didnt try those yet. Is a lot of them so i may try others in time, i dont like to add too many things at once, i like to see any effect as i add things

Theres a lot of supplements and so on marketed that likely just do no use. But there are some with value. I try to get goodies from food where possible, but a vit or mineral supp can be good to top up as im sure most people are deficient in some.
I dont use fish oils or supps as so many seeds and things with all the omegas in i rather eat those and get other goodies at the same time, limit any supplement capsules etc.
Tho i take a ginger root one, just ginger nothing else added.

Yes!! Goji berries are a special friend to me. They just have a wonderful vibe to them. I enjoy soaking them in fresh orange juice for about 1/2hour before I consume them. It's a different experience when they are plump compared to when they are dried. They are great in salads that way as well. Enjoy!

You're not gonna be vitamin or mineral deficient if you are eating extremely clean and fresh food. As I found out recently, seeds and nuts can usually not provide a sufficient quantity of DHA. Unless you eat alot of high omega 3 fish, you could probably benefit from a fish oil supplement.
You can easily lose the ginger supplement and eat... fresh ginger  :highfive:

Hmm soak goji in fresh oj, i might give that a try, i am finding them tasty, i defo will order a bulk pack, i just got 100g to test but not many left already haha  i soak chia seeds in water and add to fresh oj, quite nice, like tomato pips those are haha.

Yh i dont have multi vit and mineral daily, just occasional, or if get a bug which is rare.
I am still adding and trying things.
I just found a place in england makes raw milk and ships nationally, so im trying that this week, its a bit dear though compared to shop sold milk.

And yh i like fresh ginger, and love garlic, the ginger supps are good to take before work tho, gives me a boost haha  i work nights :/
