Does anyone here eat goji berries?

Wasnt sure where best to post, but physical well being seems right. Over recent years i have removed a lot from my diet that i feel is bad for us, unhealthy, etc. And been adding lots of good organic foods, seeds nuts, herbals teas, super foods and so on.
I have been reading about goji berries, they sound to contain all manner of goodies, and lots of historical use, but i wondered does anyone here eat them? Or make tea with them. And can you speak to any benefits please?
Thanks in advance for any info

I mix them with nuts to make trail mix quite a bit. They have a very good reputation in Chinese herbalism for longevity and other benefits. Seem to be quite healthy, though they are on the more expensive side

Some other great herbs and stuff from Chinese herbalism that seem great are reishi mushroom, astragalus root, schizandra berry, jiaogulan tea... there's some really great things to look into from Chinese herbalism if you're interested those kinds of tonic herbs / superfoods really resonate with me. jiaogulan tea has a lot of reported health benefits, and is caffeine free - I have some coming soon

Theres so many yes, i recently started drinking astragalus tea also funny you mention that one, as well as enichacea, gingko, pau darco, cats claw, skullcap, ginseng, and i must say they do seem to make a difference with things, especially when you have a bug or a cold it soon clears up
Also for women pau darco, if i take antibiotics i 100% of the time get thrush, since drinking these teas, i dont so thats proof enough for me after doing six weeks back to back on them!!
Im looking at berries now as i dont really eat any berries at all, and i know there are some that are great. So im starting with goji. Nuts are another area im not good with as i only seem to like pistachio

the common berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, etc) are great in smoothies, are quite healthy, and are a bit cheaper frozen usually
another great dried berry, though also expensive, are golden berries. oh and mulberries are great too gotta love berries

Raspberries are one of the healthiest foods on the planet, and are really good too. I like fresh raspberries in plain greek yogurt with a touch of stevia.
Nuts and seeds are really good for you too, you should invest in some hemp seeds because they are so good for you, just store the opened ones in the fridge so they stay fresh, raw almonds and hemp seeds are my two favorites though.
If you get into more nuts/seeds, stay away from ones which are drizzled in flavorings, or sweeteners/sugars, this way you're not consuming extra salt/sugar you don't need.
I usually buy all my nuts/seeds at trader joes because I have found them to be very cheap for such things, I hope they put the whole foods in here soon.

Hmm hemp seeds i hadnt considered those, i have added chia seeds last year, i soak in water then mix with some fresh oj. seeds berries and nuts im slacking though haha. I am trying
I agree completely about coverings and sweetners etc :/ since i cut white refined sugar from my diet my palate changed so much! Many sweet things i just cant stomach anymore, which is great well, it is til you go to your mums for dinner and get a sticky choc pudd sat in front of you, thought my teeth would drop out, had to apologise, just couldnt get it down
I keep saying, if we eat plenty fruit thats all the sugars we need right there! I like raspberries on occasion, blackcurrants and such.
I find all these healthy foods, teas, whatever, you gotta shop online as so few places sell them, no big mainstream retailers do i find. In fact i even buy my toiletries, sugar, and chewing gum online as cant even get aspartame free gum in shops its a nightmare lmao.

yes hemp seeds are awesome as for nuts, the two I eat the most are raw cashews and walnuts. if you aren't a big fan of nuts, I think mixing them with some dried berries might make them more enjoyable.
golden berries are one of my favourite foods in terms of taste. unfortunately they're also quite expensive. they taste like they are extremely healthy though

I am sure ive seen those golden berries for sale in a shop near me, still with those coverings on them off the , tree? Lol. I'll look again when im off and buy some, i wasnt sure what they were last time i saw them If i like ill find a better place as i dont trust the big supermarkets lol, paranoid
Yh nuts oh im not a fan, i keep trying some but i only really enjoy the taste of pistachio, and almonds are nice, no others i like sadly
Only seeds i have a lot are chia, but ill look for some hemp i think. Need to add more goodies now
I did buy some bee pollen as seems very good, and says they ethnically source them not to leave the bees without but i dunno, dont taste too bad but im not sure ill buy more of this one.

Its a super food up there with raw honey and others. The thing is that, since it falls under "super food," many holistic and health stores will gauge the fuck out of you. There are tons of good foods out there like figs and others. Just shop around. Give it a try. I like it personally. The craze is green tea too with its fat burning/speed up metabolism properties. I like Gyokuro green tea. Its not as dense as lets say, matcha but, you have multiple uses of it. Once something becomes niche, it gets mask marketed, and becomes a cash cow.

It does yeah lol, especially where weight loss is concerned these days thankfully, not an issue for me,in fact if anything i may need to actually gain about a half stone i think.
I occasionally have sencha green tea but i like to add a little gingko and its a lovely taste then i find it quite bitter as it comes. But if im making a mix with a few in i might add a spoon of honey.
Chlorella is another super food ive been buying, tastes nice added to fresh oj or in a fruit smoothie. Packed full of goodies
Well ive ordered some of the goji berries, should come this week so ill test and see what i think of them. And ill try to find some of those golden ones too. Making me think of that tv thing golden balls haha

I love goji berries. I always add them into my breakfast bowl with seeds (sesame, sunflower, pumpkin, flax) They add a smoother, sweeter taste to the seeds.... makes the bowl much more enjoyable to eat
I've not had any refined sugar in 3 months and I pretty much live on nuts and seeds (main source of calories, obviously I consume plenty of fresh fruit and veg, etc) (also hemp seeds, with above mentioned) It's the best I've ever felt.

What do you mean holistic stores gauge it? What does that mean?

Are you into holistic nutrition? I am very much so but, I am also into hunting, hiking, narture, and just making that connection. I found that gyroko green tea nearly magically setting the stage for meditation or even a body scan.
Do you remember mona vie? They tried to market it as a fairy drink? Market is ridiculous.
Tell me what you think. I am really into meditation, holistic nutrition, health, wellness, and fitness.

Well over the last few years, maybe 3/4 i have changed so much for the better and become for health aware. Ill try not make it too long winded! Could probably go on for pages haha
Started with small changes like white to brown bread, marg for butter, white salt for pink himalayan, white sugar for coconut all things like that. Added some super foods like chlorella, chia seeds and the like. Fresh fruit juices daily, fruit and raw veg, tho i only like raw carrots im still finding more i like raw! Helps digestion though. Finding berries seeds and nuts i like that i can add, as i said above i got bee pollen recently to try.
Avoiding meds, pharma, heavy metals, stopped drinking tap water, avoiding ready food anything with funny names in, aspartame and all that rubbish. Toiletries all chemical free. Added many herbal teas and the like. Reduced coffee.
Not needed a head ache pill or anything since i made these changes either so make of that what you will. No indegestion issues or other minor complaints that many people seem to have these days. My joints are better too.
Its amazing how things improve health wise, mental clarity, energy etc etc. Less bugs and illnesses, i havent needed any pills or remedies since i made these changes, tho i was a bit ill and off when i started i must admit. Detoxed a lot with zeolites, sometimes drink some diatomaceous earth as well.
Also started meditating, chakra work, learning of other methods, kundalini, using various entheogens, sometimes is for fun, i often meditate tho, My most productive night so far this year was meacaline and moqui balls i swear my mind travelled.
Anyway yeah, i made so many changes and still adding good foods and removing anything im not sure about, but im so much better in myself for it
I do use odd supplemets like additive free multi vit, mineral, a probiotic, but i dont use them all every day at all, if i feel a bug coming i use goldenseal, amazing stuff! Like a natural antibiotic. Massage a natural magnesium oil (sea water) on skin daily - that alone fixed two minor issues for me naturally.
Anyways, thats where i am now I know some think its over kill, paranoia etc, but we are organic and should eat organic, not douse ourselves in chemicals left right and centre, is no wonder we are a sick species
