You blame a place that you can't even see before you register and have to be a member for 90 days and make 50 posts before you can post in?
Lol, gtfooh.
Then why do most the women that do wander into the place stick around?

We have a user created one but almost no one uses it. Granted, its in the wasteland of user created forums, but still.

That's my point man. And the ladies forum has suffered from similar neglect for a long long time.
Minority forum yes?

Asante said: Why are all minorities underrepresented here?
A repressive climate?
Since the original suggestions thread got closed and I doubt many "outsiders" looked into it - I would really like to convert the ladies forum into a minority forum to include other underrepresented peoples of the Shroomery, such as the LGBT and non-native English speakers who may be afraid to post at all due to the language barriers. And perhaps even minority races and certain topics that would very likely get beaten to death in the pub.
Can we discuss this more?
Should I just make a new thread to bother people with,

I actually argued this when the idea was first proposed. I thought it would be more productive as a social issues, anti-discrimination forum, but it ended up being "Ladies Night" which is fine with me, but counterproductive in my eyes in terms of striving for equality.
I know this would take alot of heat from anti-SJW crusaders, but I also think it is totally in line with the mission of the shroomery, and I don't really give a fuck about what those anti-cause types want to cry about.

I think it's a great idea. Would get way more engagement than just Ladies or just LGBTQ etc.
What would it be called?

I will sit on that. Everything coming to mind now is spiteful and angry, but that is just me I don't want to misrepresent the whole movement. Something to do with equality for sure.

No that is a little neutral for what I'd want. I am thinking something like "Equal Oppershroomity" but I think I can be more clever than that.

Ideally i think we shouldnt need forums for lgbtq or for different races/ethnic groups.
You would think that people who are recreational drug users/supporters and members of counter culture would understand certain things like being part of a minority that lives outside the norm. Or knows what its like to be put down/not accepted by society.
This community should ideally acknowledge that we all here share these similarities and we should treat all people with respect, making it a safe place for everyone...

You have to realize, it's now liberals that are calling for segregation of all types, let them have it.
They'll have to remember, it works BOTH ways.

I don't think anything ever works ideally when talking about societies. Most of these topics have not been treated "ideally" in the pub.Quote:

Lets see... How many times have we had a thread about transgender women without people calling them mentally ill and misgendering?

Never mind, I vote "fire island "
But really, is that type of movement truly necessary? Wouldn't it come off as too politically "loud", as if the owners were proclaiming those issues as their own agenda?
