Who was it, your dad?
Beating up your father is a rite of passage for every son. That's when you know he's becoming a man.

There's probably never a deserving reason to hit a family member.
Hit plenty of friends though.

The last fight I think I got into with a family member was being 15 and telling my sister to get the fuck out of my room or I was going to punch her, as she danced around kicking me in the shins for about 15 minutes my patience wore off and I decked her in the face Fortunately it connected well enough that was the last physical altercation between us. Most of the time growing up fights were somewhat equal up to around that point since she was 4 years older.

There's an interview of some '80s hair metal band member talking about how he started lifting weights every day when his son turned 13. He kept saying "My son is going to get me any day now, I need to be prepared." He knew he was going to get his ass beat real soon and the tides were shifting.

I was one comment away from knocking out one of my uncles last summer. He was being a pompus jackass towards my dad and it really got to me. One of the things that stopped me was my two younger cousins were there and I would feel horrible if they had to see their dad laying unconscious.

Dad n I couple times, stupid testosterone man shit, we hugged it out. Slapped my sister after she punched me over a bag of coke at a bar, same result. She found the blow in her slut boot, she thought I stole it and did it all lol Other than that silly shit, no way. As fucked up as we are (like all families) we love each other to the end. I slapped the shit out of my little brother once. And punched him in the chin when he was a pup. Kicked my older brother in the balls (and then ran like hell as he was on the ground screaming that he was going to murder me.) Sibling abuse is common and I by far got the worst end of it.
I've wanted to hit them and my mom more than a few times. I don't intend to but they're fucking crazy. My brothers and I have mellowed out alot as we've gotten older but I'd still like to deck the little shitter sometimes.
I don't because it's dumb and I'm old and frail now. I used to be able to pick him up and throw him but he's definitely way stronger than me these days.

Yah there is
Since there blood kin doesn't make them impervious
Good examples A older brother who gets drunk and terrorizes your family and mother for no reason except his own unhappiness
Who drives violently enraged because someone yells at him pissing on the floor
A mother who terrozied me as a toddler being drunk destroying stuff in my room punching holes in the wall for no reason Except her own unhappiness
My brother has hit me countless times as a young kid for laughing if he was pissed off, im talking hard, when I was half his size
My mother at the age of 9 tackled me on a hard floor where I hit my head hard and all because I wouldn't take my prescribed 30mg adderal cause I hated how it made me felt, but all they'd cared about was the doctors orders and my grades
I could go on n on I had a fucked up childhood mentally and physically because all my family members were unhappy and took it out on everyone else
I'm moving out in about a year And I will never I've back in with these people
I'll keep contact n visit every few holidays but more times than not I haven't felt true love with people like I do with other people I met and call *family* I still love my family though
Since your family wasn't dysfunctional doesn't mean everybody's ain't

Yeah I fought hell like with my older brother growing up. He would always agitate me until I flipped out because he thought it was funny. I remember I bit him really badly once too.
I also pushed my mom once pretty hard, but she was in the process of beating me over the head with something. I just got too big to keep getting hit and not do anything about it. If I remember right that was the last time she ever hit me.
I don't think I ever hit my dad, and I totally could have taken my little sister but I think I never really hit her, even if I was a little mean at times.
Never since I was an adult tho.

My sister. We fought.... really badly a few times when we were young (8+ years ago) I never got the chance to fight/argue with my dad. He left when I was 15 And he was a damn big, strong and powerful guy. He was scary when he got angry... at that age.
I've had a step dad for 9 years but there's never been negativity or hostility between us.... just fun and good vibes

Use to get bullied by my big brother a lot when i was younger, one day he was being a douche to me (can't remember what about or what he was doing) & I punched him in his chin/bottom lip.
I remember straight after I was scared shit-less thinking he was gonna smash me back but he didn't & we kinda just went about our own business for the rest of the day.
Don't remember him ever giving me any shit again & we bonded a lot better over the years to the point where we are good bros now. No beef.

Yeah there was a kid that bullied me a little bit in high school. One day he said something to me in a hallway where nobody was around. I punched him in the chest and he just walked away and never bothered me again. I remember his name but for some reason I can't remember what he would say to me to piss me off so much. Funny though because he most likely could have kicked my ass, but I was the one who gave less fucks I guess.

Beating up your father is a rite of passage for every son. That's when you know he's becoming a man.
There's an interview of some '80s hair metal band member talking about how he started lifting weights every day when his son turned 13. He kept saying "My son is going to get me any day now, I need to be prepared." He knew he was going to get his ass beat real soon and the tides were shifting.

I like where this is going, if I ever have a son I might make him wrestle me until he wins.

That would be a wonderful hobby for any father/son to take part in.
I can't stand it when I see parents that let their kids become fat, it's very selfish, and I think poor parenting because the parents are not thinking ahead about what that child is going to have to go through later in school, kids can be brutal to each other, and being overweight is just an invitation for others to do so.

Thats good. But I am always 100% for self defense. If you are attacked first you have every right to defend yourself.

Me and my brother would always get in fights when we were young. It wasn't really fair because I was the bigger one (two years older) but I was a kid so I didn't think about it that way.

I absolutely agree.
I am very very lucky to have been born into the family I was born into. I could be an absolute pain in the ass as a kid - definitely clashed with my dad(we're a lot alike personality wise, so while we rarely clash anymore we definitely used to as a teenager) but he never ever laid a hand on either my brother or I. My parent's were always strongly of the opinion that dealing with a problem with your kids by hitting them merely teaches them to deal with their problems with violence. I couldn't agree more.
The worst that happened to me was my older brother farting on me all the time.
I think that's a rite of passage for most little sisters though.

about 10 years back me and my sisters weren't exactly nice to each other and there was a bit of emotional and physical abuse that i'd bestow upon them. they would purposely get on my nerves in return at times and we were really just at each other's throats all the time. there was no real good reason for my 11 year old self to be pushing my 6 year old sisters into walls and shit like that though, those were some of the trashiest days of my life. they just loved me and wanted my attention and i didn't know how to deal with it.
they still beat each other up sometimes but i havent laid a hand on them in countless years. ive said sorry for being an asshole to them and now me and them get along great, and i compliment them instead of insult them and give them good life advice instead of trying to ruin their lives
in turn they don't try and annoy me anymore either like they used to
it really worked out for all of us in the end, which is why i recommend everybody get in savage altercations with their siblings as children. just kidding i don't recommend that
i think the reason i used to be so brutal towards them is because when i was really young in daycare all the older kids were hella assholes to me and so it made me think that's just how everyone was supposed to treat each other. it wasn't until i was in my late teens when i figured out people are supposed to be nice to each other. first with just general maturing and i feel like smoking bud used to make me reflect and think.
then when i started doing acid and going to these music festivals all the time and people all seemed really happy to see each other and stuff a lightbulb went off in my head that people are supposed to respect each other instead of treat each other like shit. it was like some clockwork orange transformation. i reached out to a bunch of people from my past i used to be a dick to and apologized to them to make ammends and stuff, they all seemed pretty receptive and accepting of me seeing the error in my ways.

I haven't, yet, but I've come damn close with my brother on more than one occasion.
We haven't lived in the same city for over 12 years which is probably why it hasn't happened.
He did kick me in the balls once when we were kids. I can't say that I deserved it because I don't think a nut shot is ever warranted unless you're fighting someone to the death..to this day it's the worst pain I have ever known. It's a miracle I haven't knocked anybody up yet and I'm wondering if I'm shooting blanks after that nut kick.
Hit a close friend? Once. We got into a pretty gnarly fight and split each others faces open pretty bad and required stitches. We were friends again as soon as the fight ended and drove to the hospital together...that was fun explaining to the doctors what had happened.

I know the feeling. I got my uncle pretty good once, in defence. He was acting really terribly towards my dad in a way that was all too familiar and we were all drinking. He came at me and it didn't work out for him at all. I'm a pretty non-violent person unless provoked and even then it always bothers me, this actually really hurt to have had to do that. But, you gotta do what you gotta do.

Food a root of evil. I've been punched in the face over slices of bread. I threw a slice of cheese that stuck to his face when he took my bread. That was enough for him to throw multiple punches at my head.

This happened when I was really drunk at a football game and I cried the entire time after.
It's a favorite story for my family to tell.

Hit plenty of friends though.
I'd rather hit a family member than a friend
