Habitat:
Growing underneath a tree branch in the woods of Mississippi. Found at the beginning of December.

Gills:
Really crowded, white

Stem:
Very long, solid, has a small ring near the top of the stem

Cap:
Also has a very wide cap, brown, flattens out as it matures

Spore print color:
white

Bruising:
none

An Armillaria species, common name for the group "Honey Mushroom"

I could be wrong but it looks like a giant Honey mushroom, i.e. Armillaria.

I've come across honey mushrooms in that area before, but never one that massive.
