Chopping off the heads of animals to satiate egos and please our imaginary friends is a pastime longer than history itself.

I think we need to start a petition to have obama change the definition of sacrifice to match it's true meaning, of course obama frequently talked about how americans would have to sacrifice in order for him to have a great legacy

Actually the egyptians practiced sacrifices so much it was the hip thing to do so you would commonly see the most powerful and smart men offer them selves up, which is why they stopped doing it
Native Americans up until the 1900's did sacrifices in the great plains, they'd tie a woman up by her arms and legs and shoot arrows into her for corn. They took corn very seriously.

I like how these infidels and atheists know better what my God wants than I do. With all respect, I share this for the interest of non-contrarians.
The purchase was done and the sacrifice made in my garden yesterday, the rooster quite stubbornly held onto life well after decapitation. It was robust and vigorous, the offering pleased the All Encompassing One.
The chicken was dunked, plucked, had organs removed and boiled, and now sits frozen until christmas to serve us as a meal.
We decided to go for minimized suffering, no "death row", a quick transport-sacrifice-preparation. Pre-tasted, the meat was delicious, much better than factory farmed chickens cause they are about 8-10 weeks old and this one months longer.
It was... shocking to do the killing. My friend held the chicken, I took the head, extended the neck swiftly, dedicated the roster to the deity and made the slice with my VG-10 steel meat carving knife that I had whetstoned especially for the purpose.
You want to do it as swiftly as possible to minimize suffering.
Still, it was a brutal moment.
I'm not proud of it but, I had followed through on my witchdoctor friend's recommendation, had not chickened out on it and provided a properly killed meal for our group for our christmas dinner.

Apologies for being crude in advance, since you seem like a teddy bear Asante.
Your witchdoctor friend is a fraud.
Killing a chicken will do absolutely nothing spiritually, nor will anything else you or anyone can do or think of.
It's not a sacrifice if you eat the chicken.
To reiterate your witchdoctor friend is an idiot.
I'm going to go sacrifice a bottle of bourbon to the god of hedonism.

I guess I don't have much of an opinion. Ritualized killing of animals is probably better than corporate slaughter houses, where I myself and most people on here probably get most of our meat. Exposing people to the act of killing for food rather than just being served it is good for perspective, people are too far removed from their food as is. Hunting is better in my mind as well, though obviously not as sustainable if everyone were to do it.
This thread reminds me of this clip from a documentary. Documentary is called Terra, it's on Netflix. Worth a watch through.
While we're on it, this is a great video as well. Dude runs down a gazelle for miles.

Listen up man, he and I are in contact for very long now. He nevder charged me once, nor do o charge him when I help him, he is chock full of teachings of ancient Sfrican techniques, he has tons of ancient African scrolls, seen lots of photos, stuff thats not available in the western realm, written in African languages.
You really are not an expert at this and he is. You take my first most superficial description to proclaim him a fraud, you know nothing about him.
Please withold from judging.

African scrolls written in african languages... sounds legit. Chicken sacrifice only adds to his legitimacy I'm guessing.
I'm not even against animal sacrifice , I just hate frauds.

Patrick, at the regular slaughterhouses they slaughter chickens 8-10 weeks old and they do it by machine, a conveyor belt type infernal device.
Its soulless. The killing is done by a machine, to chickens who are way too young. Even if you dont believe in the God part, there's something to say for doing it yourself.
It was a BEAUTIFUL rooster. We did it ourselves, its, its a choice you know?
We know an actual shepherd and in spring sometimes he brings a lamb and giant rotisserie to bring one of his flock, to us.
Its natural.
