Signed the contracts for the house. Just waiting on the lawyer to call so we can get together and close.
Congrats on the house!!!! Greatest feeling around to have your castle and feel safe and secure. I am happy for you!

You fucked up right there. Work you is a separate part. Cleaning your house is a given. I don't like living in filth. Saturday isn't a day off if you have to clean.
Ugh my house is messy. But fuck it. It's Saturday. I'll worry about it later when work me comes back to kick my ass over lazy me

Thanks man I just look forward to living on my own and having a big project I can feel accomplished about. I got it for 32k. After closing costs and everything it'll be about 33k. I think I can put about another 10-15k into it and make it into a pretty decent cozy little home
It has a fireplace that got walled over. I want to look into restoring it. Depending on how that works it could save or cost me a few extra k's.

I was homeless before and the best I could manage was extreme apathy about even being alive so... No, no, I like this alot more.

Good point but I've been working so late I don't have the time or energy to do any deep cleaning. I've had the last 2 days off to take care of some things that had been piling up. Cleaning was on the list and I haven't gotten round to it.

Not when you are raising a family and have lived on the streets. I grow my own food, raise chickens, got my kids through school and on their own..... Your priorities change with age my friend. I remember being an ironic philosopher while I traveled, I had fun. I'm a grown up with disabilities, I need a bed and want a garden and all the amenities. As does my beautiful wife, as did the four kids we raised. I own it all free and clear, no debt. I'm barely 50, and my wife and I get to do whatever the fuck we want within reason and still have a house to come back to. Dick

Thank you. I am a crabby old drunk lol But usually pretty decent to people around me. It's fun getting to know all of the personalities here. When I was a chef/partner I was lucky if I got a couple hours a day free time. And most of that I spent sitting at my bar lol. You seem like a pretty decent person yourself Dick

That's why meth was invented. You've never deep cleaned.

Actually I lived on 16th street in Denver, Hennepin Park near Minneapolis, Maplewood/St. Louis MO.... so on. I know all about using produce boxes to stay warm and had every bathroom code on 16th street to shoot my dope in private. Why is it younger folks all think they have had it worse lol. I busted my ass 70+ hours a week for years plus my side game to get where I am son.

Yess. Man I don't think I can have chickens without special ordinances since I'm in a city but I really look forward to growing my own little garden and stuff. And some nip for the little junkie kitty
I was right sick when I was homeless. But I've heard alot of people here that just decide to leave their home to see the world. That's totally different and I think that's pretty cool. I wouldn't mind living off the land or generosity of fellow hippies but that was definitely not the situation I was in. I was living on the street. I didn't even have a car and not very many generous friends. Quite a few of those old friends wanted to put a bullet in me. Totally different situation than whatever you're probably thinking Path. Before this offer came back I was beginning to seriously consider getting a big hippie van to live in I tent camp pretty frequently so as long as I kept working I think I could have been relatively comfortable. My partner was getting really upset about the idea though

You're full of shit dick trickle. You may have busted your ass most of your life to get to where you're at now but you've lived a privileged, sugar coated existence. I can feel how soft you are through the computer screen.

Eh I've been homeless for years. I'm back at ma's place its warm and comfortable. And she pats me on the head and tells me I'm a good boy.
I've never been truly homeless. I'll share a beer or drugs with gutter trash but I will never live like that. I work hard for what I have and pay for my food. Socialist Washington has done a great deal of blinding me. I get 200 in food money I have free Healthcare. My teeth are being fixed. It's warm and comfortable.

 You're cute kid
Tell me what is privileged about my life??? Because I can work and hold a habit I'm privileged??? I have never been given a thing but food and clothes brother. Only fools argue over who is more poor. Idiot. Good luck with that attitude in life though. I wish you the best. I also hope your day gets better, you are obviously upset, harassing a man old enough to be your father over the Internet lol tough guy aye?

It doesnt sound like you had it hard so much as you made a lot of shite decisions repeatedly, theres a difference "old man".
My lifes been alright, harder than your average late 20th century Americans, but nothing too crazy, and my shitty decisions have been mild. Id go through much more for what I have, and maybe I'll have to
