Trimmed the liner better, and made the surface level. Looks good IMO and gave about half a cups worth of water via the sprayer on the sink

Oh and I have to make holes. Lol

Made holes last night with a propane torch and a red hot kobalt tools spike pick thing. Was a real pain in the ass. Drew the holes first but hell. That having to melt it shit sucks. I need a drill.
Anyway. Got the holes taped over now. Let it sit for a week or so, then fruit it?

How long till I should fruit this bad boy? It isn't "cased" just a very fine bit of coir/verm to cover the exposed grains.

Are you using the coir as a casing?

I don't plan to case. Unless I really should? I haven't done a lot of WBS monos. Just PF to bulk and some MS WBS a few small times. Now agar clean spawn so I want to do this as well as possible. Looking for a large first flush. Just wanna get that canopy.

Well If what you have pictured there is still your sub, I would wait until the entire sub is colonized before introducing to fruiting conditions....Although some people are fruiting at spawn, Most people colonize, then once colonized allow the sub to consolidate for a week, during this time you should begin to see primordia, once the pins begin, you can let the FAE flow!

So just keep it sealed shut for about 10 more days then fruit yeah? I've fruited immediately before and get very uneven flushes. I'd rather have one big wam bam

Yeah, Although fruiting at spawn works for alot of reputable people on here...both times ive tried it I got real uneven flushes...I'm prolly not doing something right, but IME thats the drawback to fruiting at spawn.
I wouldnt even put a specific amount of days on it. You have to use your peepers to tell once its colonized fully, from the point you determine it is fully colonized then you can put a 7 day timer on it for the consoloidation period. For full even canopies, it is suggested to use a casing. But ComeBackKid just did an uncased tub of AA+, and i gotta say it is a freakin AMAZING looking tub.

Alright I'll case it a week after it has reached full surface colonization. Report back then. Should be ready to make my GT and KSSS tubs by then. This z stain colonized extremely fast in the jars. Don't know if it's a specific trait of that strain or I had a great culture maybe.

I dont use casings yet...so I'm not the most knowledgeable source on them. I know you have to pastuerize and possibly add lime to ward off contams...As for the timing, You may want to look into that, i feel like they apply them immediately after 100% colonization, and skip the consolidation period. But you may want to read up on that...

It was cvg no need to pasturize That was there before spawning. Shit moab that really blows! What strain was this?

there is no need to pasteurize but it doesn't hurt. might be worth cutting that chunk out and hoping you dont see any more. i have had luck with it before but more often than not when it pops up it will somewhere else soon.

CBK...you think mold like that wouldn't show until this late in the game? Seems like something like that would be spotted in a jar...but again I'm still learning

The jars look okay from the pic but they also seem very inconsistent shades of white. Jar 3 seems like it could be milky in comparison to 2 and 4. My spawn is never that white. But more like jar 2. I don't work with wbs so I'm not sure if that's normal or not. But I do believe that the spawn/sterilized technique was the problem. He also mentioned that he threw away 2 jars that he suspected contams which leads me to believe that either the agar culture wasn't completely clean or there was a problem at inoculation.
Also rember moab that the amount of trich spores in your grow area from previous grows could be fairly high

Here's a pic of one of my jars that will be ready in the next couple days.
The myc is hardly white at all you can still see the colour of grain pretty well through it. That gives me piece of mind. Whenever I see white in my spawn it's usually harder to break up than the rest which is a bad indication

It's common for mold to show up before the first flush but not in the jar. All it takes is the introduction of a little bacteria when you're making your spawn. Once you birth it the mycelium won't be able to fend off mold spores in the open air like it normally would.
