I found this lovely blue cactus on sale for $12 so I couldn't resist buying it. I know its not a Trich. It was just labelled "Blue Column". What is it? Will it be happy in full sun in a hot desert climate? Thanks for your help!

^^^ What she said
Before I was able to load the pic I wanted to say 'Blue candle cactus' Pilocereus azureus but seeing all that wool and not seeing the yellow spines made me take a step back.
Honestly with it labeled 'Blue Cactus' I would imagine a Pilocereus azureus cross breeding of some sort making it a Pilocereus Sp. as far as I can see but I'm not the most familiar with this particular genus
Good Score and at such a great price That is definitely a beautiful plant that I wish I had for my self
1 more thing. You can check down this page and likely find exactly what you have if it's not just a random cross

It won't let me enlarge your pics for some reason but it may belong to this species from all I can see. All in all it could be at least crossed with it considering all the fur even though yours has what seems to be much shorter spines.
Pilosocereus leucocephalus 'Wooly Torch'
Hope this helps in some way Bro

Thanks B1977!
Thanks spaceman101!
This cactus looks even nicer in person. I really hope it stays this rich blue color in the summer heat. San Pedros get pretty yellow in full sun around here. I'm going to plant this in full sun and hope it does not yellow up next summer.

That is a beauty! I'd suggest Pilosocereus glaucochrous
