Let's be real; most of us aren't Inuits in the Arctic, or following a blood type diet. Can we admit these are rationalizations for eating habits that are convenient but destructive?
US Dept. Of Health says 74% of our men are overweight or obese; we're slamming down fatty burgers while 1 in 9 people on Earth are starving.
It is not the mistreatment of factory farmed animals, but the horrible agricultural inefficiency as outlined by Patlal that is most concerning to me in light of these statistics.
And it's not just animals and other people being hurt; The World Health Organization has classified processed meats as a Group 1 carcinogen. Red meat has been classified as a 'probable' cause of cancer.
So, while I don't like people forcing their beliefs down other's throats, I can at least understand the vegetarian/pescatarian/vegan.
It's the meatheads who chastize vegetarians that really turn my head sideways
-------------------- Favorite entheogen experiences in descending order: 1)Combo of oral DMT + smoked Bufotenine 2)Amanita (urine drank twice) 3)Mushrooms > Achuma 16"+cid(still need higher dose Achuma)> Cid (still need high dose) 4)Morning Glory-HBWR (+cumin, cinnamon aldehyde adducts) > Methyl chavicol (need more activators) 5)Salvia (need to try quid)
All readable matter in the above post is ficticious... any similarities to real life are purely coincidental. Blessing.

Way to jump to the extreme end of all meat base as the Inuits... Obesity is also an epidemic because like you said, people eat shit. Doritos and McDonalds should not exist. Personally I am a fan of hunting. You are not crowding animals and causing an ecological epidemic. Elk is lean as fuck and delicious. And you if you get a big ol' fucker then that meat will feed you for a long while. That's no grocery shopping for beef or anything like that which meat costs a good amount compared to other foods. Sorry let me rephrase, good meat
It's the vegans who have an extremely unrealistic view of how the world and nature works that urks me and try forcing their morals on others. Sorry if they get over emotional about nature. Half the animals they love would gore or eat them in the wild anyways. Life consumes life. No matter how you look at it.

Did you read the post above your last entry?
Anyway, I don't have a problem with subsistence hunting of overcrowded game. I agree there are unrealistic views on both sides; I just see one as being, generally, more sensible.

No I didn't because your post was a reply to mine which is the first on this page.
I've tried many diets and the best one for me seems to be a mix of everything. As soon as I sway to too much meat or too much veggies everything starts getting out of whack. Also do well with high amount of healthy fats in mine.
Currently looking at doing one of those dna tests where they tell you what your actual background is, not just some stupid shit like french. That's a nationality, but like how much neanderthal or cro mag someone has in them. Whats diseases you are immune to through genetics. all that good stuff. think its something like 150

Cool I sent my spit in last month for the same thing and am pretty stoked for results. My mom already got it done (23&Me) and it was really detailed and seemed accurate (for example she can't handle any coffee, and the test said she would have a hard time breaking down caffeine).
It'll be nice to see what my susceptibilities are so I can guard against them.

See and this is exactly why I want it done, I want to optomize how my body burns what i can and cant. i too have a hard time with caffeine and am wondering if its part of my issue with it, makes me all pukey. That's one thing i always found amazing about the human species, even with our 1 species there is so much variation that people in the past though blacks and whites were entirely different species when really its just great variation within. Certain genetic anomalies fascinate me. Resistance to aids. Theres one that inhibits the hormone that tells your body to stop packing on muscle for your genetic limit. crazy shit man crazy shit. Theres some little boy born in china with blue eyes who can see in complete darkness. shhiiiit

Mine was an example that if you're living in a colder region your dietary needs will change vs if you live in a hot region. I live in a region that's wet rainy and cold most of the year, with a little bit of sun. I'm going to eat meat and fattier foods because of that, in addition the protein helps me with work as I do construction.
I have no desire to switch over to a vegan of vegetarian diet either. I don't even want to give it a try. I love the taste of meat, and I love hunting my food. Fishing and hunting as well as crabbing and clamming provide a huge source of nutrition.
I also garden, so I love my vegetables, but again, no desire for a strict diet of vegetables.
