I'm a vegan and I love it. Anything other than plant-based foods disgusts me after I had a really traumatic food-related experience on a couple milligrams of LSD.
Vegan food is great, but if other people don't want it then there's more for me.
I'm not a pushy vegan.

We passed around a 5 lb venison steak at a shroomery gathering once, and each ripped a chunk off with our mouth and pass it with our hands to the next person. I'm pretty sure we even got a couple vegans to take a bite.
I mean it was so millions of years ago, but it just felt right. It was also extremely delicious despite the fact 40 hands had been on it by the time it got to me.
Honestly out of any camp outs I have ever been to, shroomery goes hardest in the meat department. Boar, Salmon, Deer, Steaks, lbs and lbs of bacon, dozens of eggs.....just none stop devouring animals.

They definitely exist. My cousin's husband is like this, pretty much only see him at the family christmas party and every year he goes on about how horrible it is that people are eating a turkey. It's like religion, there are many religious people who do not take great personal offense that you don't share their belief system, but the ones who do can be really fucking annoying to spend any time with.
Yeah, those types of people need something to preach. If he wasn't a vegan he would find something else to try and shove down everyone's throat.

I'm more than ok with a peaceful vegan. I think it's admirable. Especially the ones that are jacked in peak physical condition.
I've never had one of those talk about eating my dog.

Yeah like we addressed earlier, I don't think it's the fact that they are Vegans, these people are just egotistical people who decided to go down the route of veganism- they could have chosen some other route to stroke their ego with.

In my experience meat-eaters are the ones that are loud-mouthed, always mocking or making fun of vegetarians and vegans, or lecturing them on how they're not getting enough protein or B vitamins or something.
Hate to break it to you but the loud-mouthed ones are the omnivores.

My experience is similar. Milligrams overtime though as opposed to one time. What did you eat? Or did you just realize what food really is? Please elaborate or me.

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Psalm 12:6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Hebrews 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Revelation 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

I realized what food really was and can only rationalize eating plants now. I was in the psychiatric unit and thought I was either dead or I was God because I had eaten a quarter sheet and they kept trying to feed me all this meat and I was vegetarian at the time. Then I just stopped being able to stomach eggs or dairy afterwards so I went vegan.
I don't eat honey just cause I like bees and they've never stung me once in my whole entire life. I figure if I don't mess with them, they won't mess with me.

yeah, so i completely stopped being a vegetarian XD I'm a meat eater and proud, I've been eating burgers, bacon, chick fil a chicken buscuits... damn... i feel pretty good about it though. I think some animals do want you to eat them. You just have to really internalize that they were slaughtered, understand what you're doing, and yeah hopefully not do it all too much. But after two years of vegetarianism, it's pretty incredible how good meat tastes.
However to the vegans out there, keep going. It's definitely a very pure lifestyle that gives you a natural high. Personally though I found that I really want/need the extra nutrients you get from meat.
inb4 the shop 4 delicious bacon hahaha

I have yet to see a 'meat eater' (i.e. a normal person) try to force their girlfriends to follow their dietary rules, or treat their ex like shit because they wouldn't change to his perspectives... (Remember me mentioning my old roommates and one was veg-crazy? I happen to be dating the prick's ex... sweetest girl in the world too... That dude sure did know how to lose something good... Really treated her like she wasn't worth the time).
The thing is it's not about the food Crystal, it's about the asshole's ego.
As I mentioned, the other guy was completely fine with someone eating meat, just proving that being vegetarian doesn't cause you to shove rhetoric and beliefs down others throats... Veganism and vegetarianism is a good excuse to do so though.
Why are people who eat meat easy to turn around and tell these people to fuck off? Because they have no right to tell us how to eat. However if you want to go eat broccoli and imagine your farts don't stick, I'm not gonna stop you, just when the smell lingers this way you'll hear from me...

The number one reason vegans are retarded. They suggest it for everyone... Diets don't work universally. There are plenty of books about diet based on blood type and only one type calls for a "vegan" diet. Most people who lose weight do so simply because they go from eating complete garbage to vegetables and fruits.

It's the vegans that claim that it's the most healthy diet that piss me off the most. Whilst a purely plant based diet might work for some people... I don't think it works for everyone. In fact, I think it's frankly dangerous for some people to be vegan, probably due to genetics. Every time I've gone vegan I have got extremely ill. I've been veggie for years and the way the commercial meat and dairy industry treats animals sickens me to the core. I really wish I could be vegan, but every time I give up dairy I simply can't function. The last time I went vegan, I was in bed with the worst flu I've ever had in my life for weeks. Humans are omnivores, and I think many of us need some form of animal product to function optimally, as horrible as it is.

This I completely agree with. I think diet is based not only on individuality, but it's influenced by the region you're in as well. Say you're living in the arctic, you're going to need much fattier, more protein rich meals than someone living in the jungle. This will also change dietary needs alongside of individual needs.
