Looks ok....atm. Looks wet on the bottom of your jars. That could pose a problem for you later on. How many CC's of inoculant did you use? Hopefully you prepped that popcorn well, otherwise you might have set yourself up for failure. Don't want to be a negative nancy, just being honest. Let those jars grow out and see what happens. What was your procedure for prepping and sterilizing the popcorn?

I soaked them then, brought to a hard boil and then simmered them for about an hour then strained let cool off then put them into the jars. I used the popcorn tek on here from GotLib, but I followed the procedure and I understand it's my first time with grains so it's all a learning curve, I don't take offense man I'd rather you be brutally honest with me tbh.
But sterilizing I used a PC on 15 PSI for a full hour as well and used roughly like maybe under 1 CC of innoculant I wasn't sure if to use a shit ton of it or not. so I just tried to be conservative with it. Thanks for letting me kno tho, I thought it looked a little wet at the bottom myself, kinda scared its gonna contam. But thats why we learn haha

popcorn on your first grain run might turn you off. it can be difficult to work with.
i have done countless wbs jars and maybe have jacked a batch or two.
popcorn just sucked for me. big time. and 1hr might not be enought. 90min is the minimum. i do grains 90-120 min but never just 1 hour. also MS can be dicey enough but adding popcorn might push it into failure zone..
keep us posted. find a grain you like. maybe popcorn will be the one for you

I will! No stress I figured id just try one 1qt jar instead of loading down a shit ton of them and expecting it to work haha. if it doesnt work I was gonna to walmart and snag some Rye Berries, some WBS and then see how I would do with either of those if this fucks up.
I appreciate the advice, and yeah MS is always dicey really even with half pints lol, but my spore supplier has always done good by me and has always gotten me very solid and viable syringes for dirt cheap too so Im just hoping this thing takes off and I don't gotta trash it, that'd make me sad haha

i like to get over the 'sad jar feels' by making more jars :p
if you get walmart wbs.. dont get the 'pet food' version. go to the outdoor/home garden section... but it might be replaced by holiday shit. the pet food style was really.. really shitty for me. i had hollow/burst grains just from a 24hr soak. i was like wtf is this shit???(could of been a bad bag)

Less than one cc of inoculant is good. A little light on the pc time though. Popcorn, I would do 2+ hours minimum. Maybe even two cycles. Popcorn sucks anyway. Not a fan of it. Rye berries are good. Don't have any experience with WBS, although it seems to be a common choice for spawn. People seem to get it without the cracked corn in it.

the cracked corn works but it defeats the purpose of wbs for my needs. i like wbs because it breaks up really easy and has lots of small grains to spread around for my bulking needs.
the crack corn tends to clump it together. making it less useful IMO/E
ive wanted to try popcorn because i love eating popcorn but i guess theres a reason why i havent.

Wll good news is kernels near the top are also beginning to show growth of mycelium, and the bottom ones are spreading quite a bit over the last few days. Do I have to shake Corn or should I just let it do its thing. Sorry just dont know what the fuck Im doing with grains lolol
