Do these look normal?
    #23886542 - 12/02/16 03:59 AM (7 years, 1 month ago)

Hey guys...this is my second grow and things look a little strange. Theres little blusish like bruising colour on the base of one mushroom, Also little white dots on caps and two mushrooms growing in one.
Alot of bluing which i hope is just bruising, And theres white fluffy stuff growing on base of mushroom

Can anyone explain these things and what causes them to grow this way?
Thanks alot ✌️️

Splitting of stipe is 99% of the time vert. Your cake is hella bruised from being dry. Rosecomb also is a tell tale sign of lack of FAE, as well as vert. The fluffy stuff at the base is called fuzzy feet, completely normal and in almost every indoor grow. You have exccess amounts tho because of a lack of FAE. You need more air, and you need to keep the surfaces of the cakes glistening with direct misting.

What is stipe and what is vert? Should i saturate the verm that the cake is sitting on to prevent drying out? Also what is rosecomb? So ill spray the top verm layer avoiding too much mist on the mushrooms themselves...right?

Thanks heaps mate

Sorry for taking so long to reply.. forgot about this :frown:.

A stipe is the stem. When it splits down the middle, it is most likely due to verticillium, a white mold that thrives off of fungi. Rosecomb is like a cap that has a hole in it, showing the gills making it look like a rose.

I always spray directly. Just get the substrate glistening with no pooling water. If water hits your fruits, it's alright. They get rained on in nature.

 I had no idea you just started a new thread
