People who say they don't watch TV still watch it, they simply don't watch it on an actual television. They use Netflix or Hulu instead.

Well yeah, in moderation it's totally okay. But TV and gaming addictions impair people on a psychological level (until, like all addictions, it is 'treated')

I watch TV. I mainly use it for the background noise though. There's not much really interesting on anymore. History, Discovery and National Geographic channels have all gone to shit. Very little in the way of documentaries now. I'm rarely able to catch what I actually want to watch when it's on anymore. I'm just so used to the sound of having it on when I use my laptop. I'm making the switch to Netflix and Cravetv right now. Going to cut off my cable really soon. It's just too damn expensive to use as background noise. I guess I'll just have to stream mundane shit for the sound now (I hate the radio).

Watching T.V. is almost an out of date term. When I think of watchin T.V., I think of tuning to a specific channel, at a specific time to watch a show you planned to watch. And this also includes watching all the commercials they show. I think of T.V. as a linear stream you do not have control over.
I havent watched T.V. in YEARS, more or less even OWN a TV. However do I hand select shows that I find to be fine art and containing a literary level? Absolutely , on my own time.

I do alot of YouTube, if that counts.
I used to watch alot of discovery and animal planet and the history channel... But basically stopped when they randomly decided that their viewers wanted reality shows more than education and reenactments.
Tho I admit (and I think most of us would) if I had no internet or access ot hulu and Netflix I'd watch cable TV.
I watch football and other sports on occasion too. Even still I prefer catching highlights online.

You eat cheetos and watch the super bowl on LSD??? You know you are doing it all wrong, right?
I watch the fuck out of my TV as well. Now that my only job is drinking beer, banging my wife and indulging into my favorite hobbies I have plenty time to get all comfy in my cali king pillow top with my mini fridge, my bong and my Apple TV and worry about nothing other than what's for dinner and what kind of booze I might want with what snack and which smoke to smoke. When I was working the bar side at the pub constantly had sports on on the weekends and whatever trash the lawyers and day drinkers wanted before 4pm throughout the week. No cable in my house in years and years, mostly worthless drivel. But I am definitely NOT one of the hip young folks who are enlightened above watching TV. I enjoy, it is relaxing, and sometimes I can get my knob slobbed while binging Netflix and chugging down a few pints. Life is good, I worked hard to get here, damn right imma enjoy the fuck out of it. Dick

I have gotten to the point of muting all commercials when I watch TV. Those are the real mind control things! I enjoy TV, I watch a lot of movies on cable and a few series. 90% of shows and TV are crap though.

When i was schizophrenic i saw through commercials on a whole new level. They are the definition of mind control. Thats all i can really say about that

I watch me some TV, mostly on weekends.
Yeah, junk food for the brain, mindless drivel etc. That is the precise reason why I watch. I spend all day thinking about science, problem solving etc. When I get home, the last thing I want to do is contemplate deep shit. I'll happily watch people fighting over TV's on pawnstars.

It is suggestion, they use familiarity under the hypnosis everyone is usually in. Everyone that feels comfortable doesn't reject the programming.
I enjoy westerns. Usually just background entertainment while using the iPad for something more interactive and educational.
