Bacteria or Myc Piss?

This is a BRF cake with Burma strain mycelium. Homemade MS syringe inoculation. Is this myc piss or some kind of buildup of metabolites related to bacterial infections? Any help with identification would be amazing.

"Myc piss" is an unfortunate slang for metabolites secreted by mycelium when stressed or under attack. Your question makes it seem as if you think they are two different things.
Yes, it looks like metabolites to me. From a homemade spore syringe, most likely yes, it's bacterial. The way the pieces of verm/BRF are pushed up against the glass like titties on a shower door suggests bacteria as well. But cakes are almost always bacterial. You're fine to fruit it once it hits 100% and has been consolidated, just expect a lower yield and for it to possibly green out earlier.
Thank you for answering my question so completely. I have heard from others that myc piss is just "something that they do sometimes" and so it is refreshing to know that this is a physiological response to stress. Are there any steps you might recommend to avoid more bacterial infection? also is it possible that this might spread to other jars?

I am actually starting my first grains now, I'm 2 days in and see no growth. They are done with home made syringes. So would you literally put just a SINGLE drop into a quart grain spawn jar? I will definitely start working on some agar ASAP

Dude, you've sold me. I am ordering the shit for agar as soon as i get my next check. Ive read a lot from people who say agar is hard, and others that say it is easy as shit. Any specific tips worth noting when working with agar?

I've also had grain jars contaminated with some bacteria that still colonized and I was able to spawn. Not the healthiest flushes in the world, but IMO if the myc keeps colonizing just hang on to it.
