Appears to be an oyster? Never seen one like this in the wild. Thank-you for your time!


Habitat:
Where does it grow? Lawn in s. Illinois  What does it grow on? Wood, poplar stump

Gills white

Stem: white 3" long , approx 1"diameter

Cap:Brown rippled cap large 8-10" diameter

Pleurotus populinus, I doubt it is still good to eat if its that big.

No , I know it's way past prime. I want to clone it. I've never seen stems that big except a king.
