..or who seem to think you're going to intentionally try and crash into them as they cross at set of red lights you're pulling up to.
What is it with these cunts? I had a couple of instances of people scorning at me today when pulling up at a couple of crossings, and it made me think about those window stickers too.
I mean why would you do it? Like, to suggest to all those people that are planning to crash into you that maybe they should plan to crash into someone else who doesn't have a child on board/walking with them?!?
I dunno if you get these a lot in the US, but they're fucking everywhere here, and I simply cannot fathom the psychology behind it.
Any ideas?

The sign doesn't bother me so much. I think it may be to discourage tailgating, which I sympathize with. What bothers me is when I see the sign and that motherfucker is on their goddamn cellphone

i see them occassional in Oregon, but they are rare.
I think they are dumb and its more of a statement/status thing than a "dont hit my car" thing, at least in my view.
Ive seen "Dog on Board" too
The more popular stickers here are the "family" sticker where it shows a stick figure version of mom, dad, and kids. Also other versions like Star Wars or object or animals.
But most cars i see have no stickers at all

It's just an innocent reminder. Nobody wants to hit a baby. What if you were driving and you forgot people have babies? Then you hit one?

I have a feeling JSB drives like a maniac. I never get looks like the ones he's describing, but I don't do things that make people wonder if I'm going to obey traffic signals.

I think it's basically saying "I spat a child out of my cunt, I'm special, your not, ner ner." I've seen grandchild on board signs as well. Whoopdeeshit, your descendants have reproduced.

I ride like a biker in London. It's a pretty standard style of riding, and there are LOTS of bikers here in the city.
I suspect this is the most accurate theory for why people do this, I can't see why else they would bother. Some kind of 'I'm special cause I have a child' kinda attitude:

It's really stressful driving with a newborn in particular. If you care anyway. I did get one but the only reason I kept it is because I noticed people tailgate a lot less.

Man I get "dog on board" more than baby. They're not strapped into anything. You can't gun it at an intersection. You shouldn't slam on your breaks. Pup will get hurt. Actually happened to me. I had to slam on the breaks because asshole and the poor dog slipped out of the seat and smashed his nose on the dashboard. Even if you have em in a crate stopping like that is bound to knock him around.
In this case the dog looked at me like I was abusing it and had a little bit of blood on his nose but thankfully was more or less okay. He's thankfully a young healthy pit. But if it were my elderly lab or something man he probably would have broken one of his legs.

I'm trying to figure out who the asshole in the story is. It seems to me it might be you, the one driving around knowing the risks to your dog and then getting mad at someone else when what's bound to happen sooner or later happens. And then go pointing the blame finger in every direction but yours. Maybe you shouldn't drive around with your dog in the car.

He pulled out in front of me. But you're right, it was my responsibility to make sure the dog was sitting in a safe place. Or as safe as I could manage. As many times as I've ridden with a dog in the car it never occurred to me how poor their paw grip/balance is.
I learned from it and went out and bought a back seat hammock thing from petsmart that straps them in the back and covers the seats n floorboard if they do fall foward. Which I've not had since. I do also drive like an old grandma with a pet in the car now too.
