My two little indoor kratom babies

Just wanted to show my little babies off. I believe they are rifat. They came early last spring and almost died due to my learn by doing method of care but here they are doing quite well. I'm thinking of pruning the one on the left so it starts growing up instead of out like it wants to. It's very nice to have a couple of fresh leaves now and again to chew, very energising and tasty.

I'm in 5a so sometimes winter is brutal. Idk if even the in ground greenhouse would be enough. I still have all winter and spring to research and plan. The greenhouse is happening whether or not the kratom twins can live in it but it'd be nice.

I like Texas I've only been in winter though. Traveling to Arizona this spring to do a spirit journey really excited to see the biota of the Southwest.

How many leaves of that baby is equivalent to like a 4g powder dose? And how often can you pick em?

I couldn't really say. They are not big enough to be picking leaves for constant consumption, if they become stressed they will start dropping leaves fairly easily. With the equivalency it's just kinda 1:1 I guess. It does seem to be a little more energizing to me but that's probably from the lower dose.

I've found that each full size leaf will dry out to be about 0.5 gram

I have not tried drying any yet, only eating fresh. The taste is pretty good. I just remove the veins, stack, roll, and chew like tobacco almost but eat the quid when I'm done chewing.
