Police pulling people over to give Christmas presents?

Randomly pulling people over? I'm not really sure how I feel about this. Every comment I've read about the police doing this people just praise the shit outta of this. Is it just me? Cause I can see this going horribly wrong in all kinds of ways. (But then again im black) and more then llikely racist for thinking this?
Article: http://www.viralvo.com/pulled-over-by-cops/
She was targeted and pulled over by the cops, the treatment of her during the holidays is going viral The police officers in Lowell, Michigan are bringing a whole lot of Christmas cheer to motorists they „pull over.“ But instead of doling out traffic ticket after traffic ticket, the officers surprised them with the things that were on their Christmas lists – either things for themselves or their little ones.
At a time where community relationships with the police are strained, these officers are spreading cheer and love – and the attitudes given back reflect the same type of holiday cheer! From little toys to big-ticket electronics, these officers are playing Santa and they do it well!
To add to the holiday spirit, not a single one of the drivers pulled over actually got a ticket. What a fun thing to see people getting blessed unexpectedly! Take a peek at this heartwarming video for yourself by pressing „Play“ below – but beware, you might need a few tissues to dry your eyes!

This is an old video, but it's still creepy in my opinion. Like a plastic fire engine is worth the stress of the pull over, just so that cop can go tell a stripper about it at the club later, or when he beats his kids reminds them of how good they have it.
Crook of shit IMO.
They could just as easy let me know there's gifts at the station when they call my house looking for donations every other day.

I'm of the mindset that I NEVER want to deal with them, presents or not
I'd like to live my life and be left alone, I don't break the law I don't do drugs and I don't bother others
If I could go to work everyday and be left alone otherwise, now that would be a noteworthy present

It's condescending as fuck. I would file a complaint.
Any other day of the year the pig pulls me over and charges me fines for anything he possibly can. But around christmas lets just be satan, but have a sweet new hello kitty bookbag for the kids.
It's like that video those cops made in uniform in their cruiser lip syncing to music and making it go viral. Kiss my ass you filthy fucking swine. You are wasting my money singing on camera, wasting money putting it on youtube, collecting money of the ads on youtube, and on to slaughter you go. Cool story, you can dick off at work and still shoot someones dog. Fucking heros.

Initially it makes a great feel good story about cops actually being humans. Then I think it's just another reason to pull people over and be nosy.

No, it's not. I have nothing to hide, and just because I'd like to be left alone, that doesn't make me a degenerate
And it's quite a different situation if we were to compare canadian police and american police
By the way, you have no control over the officer profiling you in whatever stupid misguided egg headed way he might, and then giving you shit because of it

Because someone is temporarily kidnapping me, stopping me from what I am doing and becoming the one in control of my life, they are covered in protection and openly carry many weapons. Some of us have places to be or, you know, don't need some fucking 9.99 light up cop car.
If the cops wanted to do this without harassing people, they'd go to like walmart and stand outside?

That news article makes it sound like a harmless good deed. It's just another trap. Again if the cops wanted to help they would do this at a neutral location, not your car, not your home.
Would you say it would be chivalrous if the cop saw a girl he recognized from the internet and stopped to give her flowers?
No. That's harassment. So is this.
Sorry, I don't want my tax money going to "pranks"? How is that hard to grasp?

That's some bullshit. If I were in a rush to get somewhere I'd be incredibly pissed if I was pulled over for no reason other than to be used as a PR opportunity for the local police department.
I'd rather see my tax money going to fund paid volunteer days for police do some actual community outreach during the holidays or something.

If they weren't on duty or being paid it's even worse that they were pulling people over - the intention might've been good, but it's poorly executed.

I just think it's stupid to get upset about, I shouldn't have even said anything.
All the people in the video were very happy with the end result. I guess that's all that matters.

Anything that gives a predator with a pistol access to my open vehicle is a trap. What kind of question is that?
I am minuscule. YOU are minuscule. That is why this effects ME. I could give fuck all about the popular vote with trump. This is "grassroots".
This is a person who is supposed to be actively enforcing our constitution and protecting my rights as a US citizen, I would much much rather he go out and "catch some bad guys" than spend his day pulling people over handing out presents. Oh wait.....I wonder why he is pulling people over?
Cops are on duty 24/7, and ummmm hello? How would you get pulled over if the cop wasn't in his cruiser?
It's harassment.
If you slap a waitress on the ass, but leave a nice tip.......harassment.

Dude, you need to take a chill pill and relax.
You obviously have a grudge against these "predators" and it's severely influencing your perception of all of this.
God forbid they do some nice shit around Christmas and not catch some flak for it.
I WANT YOU TO ENFORCE THE LAW, NOT PULL ME OVER AND BE NICE.
NOT THAT LAW, I DON'T AGREE WITH IT.

When did I ever say I didn't want them to enforce any law. You seem to be the one using name calling tactics, capitalized sentences, and now telling me to calm down on my personal grudge?
Yes. It's personal? When do you get in the car and you don't have somewhere to be? It's someone forcefully stopping you and making it ok with a gift.
If I did this to a woman it would be creepy. If I did this to a random kid it would be creepy. If you came up to me and handed me a gift just at the mall I probably wouldn't accept it, and if you stopped me on the road to hand me a box I would kindly decline.
It's harassment.
I just don't see why you are even arguing with me about it.

I'm pretty happy when I'm on my way to the park with my dogs, or on the way home with a bunch of steak or seafood to cook up.
When I have some grunt douche in my face with a gun handing me a hotwheels, I'm going to be pretty damn annoyed.
There's so many things wrong with this, and none of it right aside from a cheap wal mart toy.

I can't show you a video of a priest having a child suck his dick, but I can show you the sermon afterwards.
Are you oblivious?
"Oh hey channel 9! We were out playing santeee claws and all the sudden, roll down the window, and I smelled pot! So I asks the guy to step out and he wouldn't, so I shot him and his dog to keep everyone safe this year"
Unless someone is dying "because they are black" by the police, you don't hear but what they want you to.
Yes, I take police and their actions very seriously. I've never pulled one of them over, played with their cock, stole their money, kidnapped them, held them for ransom, and then released them while under the guise of a supreme highly paid stalker........never once.......so ya I take the guys with pistols, shotguns, mace, tasers, bullet proof vests, a twisted agenda, and a low paycheck seriously and unless I call them, they can stay as far the fuck away from me as possible.
But it's 2016 on the shroomery. Half the fuck ups here would rat their weed dealer out to not get kicked out of fucking art school. Go cops!

Fuck the cops. I had a pig literally steal a $1,700 chain and cross from Greece my grandfather bought me right off my neck. I got arrested and he made me give the chain and when i got bailed out all the workers said that the officer never submitted any possessions.
I will never get over that and i get anxiety and rage everytime i think about it.

That might be true, but I KNOW that I'd be happier if I'm left alone
And of course the people in video act happy, most people put up a front when they deal with cops...because it's a pain in the ass to deal with them

I hate to say it, but I would probably laugh if they went to pull someone over and the person being pulled over said "fuck it, im not going back to prison" and started to open fire, by doing this that person would set in motion riots all over the country, and then things would fly out of hand, and then BOOM kiss your rights goodbye.
All over some cops wanting to be nice, sounds like LEO voodoo if you ask me, you know like lets pull those Vatos over to "give them a present" but in reality they want to catch a whiff of some drugs they claim to smell so they can search the vehicle, then ask for their papers, then ICE comes and sends the Vatos to jail, it's a vicious cycle.
