Health risk?
    #23864845 - 11/24/16 10:17 PM (8 years, 1 month ago)

I have 4 brf cakes in my tank right now. Two days ago one cake had a dark blue mold on the top. I cut off the enire top half of the cake and covered the newly opened  area with peroxide.  It seemed to have worked no signs of new blue mold on that cake yet. The mold spread to a second cake wich at first only had a little, so i cut a small chunk off, peroxide, and isolated it now ot grows by my window. Only a little less than half is left and it may still have contam, time will tell :frown:. This is my first grow I'm so sad about those cakes

Now my question : the part of the cake I had to remove had a small part of 10 to 20 1/4" pinns. I isolated them in a mason jar to see if there is any mold still growing on that particular part. This mold started off blue and turns black if left unattended for any a few hours. I would lime to eat those pinns if the mold Dosent show up in a day or two. Safe or no? It's the b+ strain. Thoughts?

Fruits from contaminated cakes or tubs are perfectly safe to eat, as long as there's no visible mold on them
