Pre Dunking Pans

Having looked quite a bit at Cronicrs pan posts and other helpful info, I still have a question about dunking.
One you guys make a poo tray and colonise it, then do you dunk it prior to casing. My reason for asking is that we don't want to wet the casing too much initially, after the casing is on, as that seems to encourage cobweb mould, but we also need water as a trigger to fruiting.
It makes sense to dunk between flushes, but what about before the very first casing?
Thanks guys

But do you have a grow log for pans or something? I'm about to get some pan spores in the post, gotta bone up on them. Although if I can grow them using plain CVG that'd make my life much easier.

Thanks for that. If after a couple of solid flushes you decide to soak them, then is there a set time? Enough moisture vs becoming water logged for a mostly poo and verm substrate? Cheers

Thanks for that. Three flushes and still going strong. Horses are deemed still useful in the modern era beyond horse and cart. All thanks to poo
