Care to give advise on my tray? (With images.)

Hey guys, I am a new member here but I have followed the site for a long while. Decided to start cultivating again after a couple of years.... so I am a bit rusty...
I'm using a SG chamber, jars spawned using pftek, bulk cake substrate is coir/verm. I have had no issues with contam, jars have been extremely healthy, too. Misting 3-4 times a day and fanning 5-6 times. Temp is usually around 75. This tray has been in the fc for around 8 days.
Concerned about this tray, it is yellowing a bit, doesn't seem dry, and I cannot see much knotting...:

How do you guys think its looking? Would really appreciate some input or advise!

Its probably bacteria. Brf cakes as spawn isnt a great idea.

Slight yellowish spots are alright.. but that looks like way too much and a deep yellow color, mostly likely as he said bacteria.

Argh! I was worried about that... One of the pics makes it look a fair bit brighter yellow than it really is... But yeah.. Its definitely not quite right.
I'm a little confused because I'm not seeing any yellow bumps or nodules. More like an even yellow glow on the cake. Suppose I will just keep going with my routine and hope for an OK yield.. Thanks for the replies, BTW.

Cakes perform better as cakes. I didnt have a pressure cooker for a long time and have spent many of failed trays and tubs trying to use BRF cakes as spawn. They always contaminated right away or pushed 1-2 mush up then contaminated.

Ah, okay. I had read about success with using pf cakes as bulk spawn during my 2 year hiatus on cultivation.... suppose I will go back to rye or wbs. Thanks, guys.
My cakes that I did not attempt to use as bulk spawn are okay... jars colonizing as expected and cakes look good when moved to FC. I will fruit the cakes as cakes and just start some rye with the LC I have.
Live and learn. Thanks again, folks.
edit: wonder what specifically causes the contamination... the tray looked great for about 5 days, myc looked very healthy and then boom... saw the yellowing, which has gotten worse and now looks like the myc is giving up. In theory, at least to me, it seems like it would work just fine. Perhaps the BRF cakes just arent strong enough to fully get a good hold on the coir/verm substrate...

Not the only option indeed, but it is the failsafe option.

Agar is a time and money saving technique imo. You put all that time and resources into a monotub and it fails because someone couldn't take a couple weeks to just clean up their inoculate.
Not to mention all the possibilities that come with good cultures.

I guess spores to grain works for some, if you are willing to accept a certain amount of failure rate, cost of spore syringes and time. I pay good money for suppies like syringes, coir, verm and grain and my time and space is even more valuable. Take a guess what would have happened if I would have went straight to grain with this vendor syringe.

If making some cheap Chinese jello means a syringe could give me enough grows to last a lifetime and ensure my spawn is clean I can't afford not to.

Actually that agar was colored red to start Everywhere spore solution touched grew mold. Being too dirty to even clean up I took advantage of the guarantee and they sent a new one. Would rather find this out on a couple agar plates than several jars of grain.

You could get away with using it for brf cakes..but anything else would be risky as hell...I would wait too

I'll probably do some cakes while I get agar set up. The vendor took forever to ship, so he doubled the order for free.
