Keeping tyvek dry during pressure cooking/sterilization

Hi there, I am currently PC'ing 5 quarts of rye berries strictly following RR's vids. (doubled up tyvek i cut myself from a roll, foil on lids) I was wondering if this is truly going to be enough to keep the tyvek dry? When I PC BRF jars there is always moisture between the foil and the lid (however it has never gotten actually into the dry verm layer) and I am worried I'm just about to make a bunch of contam wicks haha. Is there any better methods for avoiding moisture? or should I just make my own self-healing ports?

do you mean just tyvek layers? no lid. only the ring?
ive done that and found the top layer or grains dries out fyi, but the tyvek itself wasnt overly wet or anything. get that foil on tight.

I have the metal lid with 4 FAE holes, with 2 layers of tyvek cloth i cut myself (it is very thin) on top. I always try to put the foil on tight but it never really feels tight and i always get the same results. So I'm just worried I'm gonna pull these guys out and have wet ass filters. If this does happen, will it be a problem if I PC the same grains twice?

Ive read and watched RRs videos. He advises not to put the tyvek under the lid bc it will wick condensation i think from inside the jar and contaminate. They recommend on top of the metal lid. The aluminum foil should keep it dry, thats the whole point we cover it with foil when pcing.

You can't keep them dry. There will always be some moisture. You'll be fine as long as you use foil and the filters aren't completely saturated.
Also, use the search function.

My bad bruh, but also you're hella right. Just pulled them all out and despite minor moisture, they are perfect.

No worries. What are your plans exactly? MS? Agar? Edibles, etc.?

I am currently using MS syringes but am looking forward into getting into agar work, I just gotta get the cash together for it. I'm about to start my first bulk grow with burma strain, assuming all goes well. I am a new cultivator but so far things have gone perfectly with my BRF cakes
