Found them in the woods in SF North Bay. Plucked them out of the soil. Lots of woodchips nearby. Looks like cyans to me but it's probably just wishful thinking. What do you think?

First picture looks like P. Cyanescens. Unsure on the other one.

I had a feeling it was cyans earlier so I ate one small mushroom from the group I plucked under some bush of leaves while I continued my hunt. What's interesting is that it has been around 2-3 hours since I consumed it, yet I didn't feel anything. Was it a case of the mushroom actually not being psilocybe, or just a small intake? Perhaps that small mushroom wasn't active?
Anyways, here's another photo for clarity:

Those are P. Cyanescens for sure. One mushroom will not affect you, you need to eat at least a couple wet ones or more if dried. Nice Find Dude!

I see, thanks for clarifying! I'm sure you can see the blue bruising on the stems too. Thanks man! This will be memorable for me!
I have a scale so I'm gonna weigh them out. I know I made this an ID thread, but do you guys have any recommendations for someone still starting out? 1-2grams? I was given 3 grams of shrooms and a few blunts during my first time at an outdoor concert a few months ago. As soon as it hit, I fainted

Not sure on weight when wet, but when dried 1.7grams is a chill trip and 3.5grams is a heavy trip. I would start small.

For first-timers, Terence McKenna suggested taking 5 grams on an empty stomach. When I fainted on 3 grams + few blunts, I was in a public setting with lots of things going on around me (outdoor concert). This time, I'm planning to take it in my room. Are heavy trips (3+ grams) more tolerable in less chaotic settings, or do you think I would just faint again regardless of setting?

In my experience with mushrooms the setting changes everything. if you're in a chill environment then you will be good. the normal dose is usually an eighth (3.5grams). Have fun!

That looks like the dosage for Panaeolus cyanescens where these are Psilocybe Cyanescens.

Try not to eat and pick.. random mushrooms sometimes wind up in your haul if your going good.
Almost ate a conocybe one night. Only sober pickns since. Careful.

Don't take my word for it, but with Psilocybe cyanescens that sounds like a high dose to me....

3.5 grams of cyans will knock you on your ass. You guys are forgetting they are nearly twice as strong as cubensis. Good luck.

Try 1.7g(1/16th) then, 3.5g(1/8th) is just what I've done in my experiences.

Yeah, I'll definitely be more careful next time. I'm glad I didn't experience any poisoning or anything severe like that.

Interesting how some species are generally more potent than others. What you guys recommend? I'm leaning towards TheDuder's suggestion of 1.7g so far
