Mescaline is a psychedelic spiritual plant medicine and you take it as such to cleanse your mind and body.

Trich cactus is the best. Just eat it. It is strongest and most complete like that. Outdoors away from people is the way to go. It is the perfect overnight camping fireside experience. If you want to go deep and inward it can do that. If you want to hang with friends and bond and have fun it can do that too. Visuals are strongest at the peak with cannabis. But its not really about the visuals. The frame of mind it puts you in is ancient and awesome. Its a full mind/body experience.

All from the same species of cacti, or all different species?

Same with shrooms and cid tbh...I think alot to do with set and setting and less to do with type.

Seems like extraction techniques can lead to getting more/less of the alkaloids, plus fluctuating growing conditions ie. temps, watering light, in addition to age can all effect the strength of even different cuttings of the same clone. Throw in genetics too and you have some wild fluctuation in potency and experience from trip to trip.

Set and setting play a big role. Also it is hard to have consistency if you are not growing the plants yourself. Pachanoi are generally more euphoric. With bridgesii its less predictable.

I wonder this myself. Currentl,y i'm PCing a bunch of SP. I've gotten pretty good at full a/b extraction, after a few salty batches :P . Stil,l I feel you lose a good deal of the experience with straight "mescaline" (more accurately purified mixed alkaloids). In this vein, I'm considering doing a thorough defatting of the stuff and then dry it. So that it's not the tarry mess it typically becomes (I assume) when dried straight from the aqueous extraction.
I took a 00 cap of powdered peyote this afternoon. It's been a great day.

If you don't want to defat and possibly lose alkaloids that way you can add some citric or aescetic acid to the soup and that will harden the final product. It will be slightly less pure but I do this with all of my rough extracts, even pod putty, as the resulting tar is infinitely easier to deal with. Just roll it into balls with no stick. I usually do ISO tar and it is pure grease without something added to harden it up. Vinegar works really well for that.

Bridgesii rock me to the core. Ones like Bruce and Eileen are the slowest growers in my garden. Yet others like Tig and Con are as fast as the fastest pachanoi for me. This is important because no matter how potent a cactus is there is only the season's growth for use.
Once I get on my cactus binge it's hard to stop. I'm the same with mushrooms though.
I'm thinking beware of scopulicola where I live because the named clone is crap ( not mentioning any names but it's sure been used a lot by ethno suppliers in their crosses.)
I've a fat cactus that's a scopulicola crossed with Tig I bought off an ethno supplier. If it's the popular clone in that cross it will weaken the potency of Tig. Yet some scopulicola can go 0.85% mescaline in Australia so there's only one way to find out.

Very nice. Bridgesii is no joke. 12 hours of intensity. If it takes a turn you dont expect thats a long ride. Mushrooms get confusing at high doses. Cactus is clearer but can still be so powerful. Best success with your growing.

Thanks Grey Fox. One of the bridgesii I mentioned in the above post 26hrs. I was in the land of witches, goblins and dragons for about 8 hours. During that time it reminded me very much of ego death I've experienced on heavy doses of P.subaeruginosa.
Some bridgesii are full of light others there's an element of darkness with the light. Yet at the end of the trip all the great stuff that's been worked out. I find cactus more therapeutic than mushrooms in a healing of the psyche sense.

I think so, too. I truly believe growing conditions do affect the experience more than most people think. There's not only mescaline, but at least eight other phenethylamines, + other amines like tyramine and quinolineamines found in psychoactive Trichocereus cacti, all contributing to the experience more or less. I do not believe, that no matter of age, nor location / light / watering, that these amines are found in the same ratio all the time. Wound't that be against natural growing processes?
Sure set and setting is an important factor, too, I know this from shrooms and acid, but my experience shows with cacti it's much more off a game.

I had a friend grow it. His dad had a hippie friend who gave them a cutting and it grew like a weed.
U can also get it from a specific online auction site that must be unnamed...

In my country you just go to the local gardening store(not sure how's it called) And ask for Peyote's or just identify a Pedro.. Mescaline is illegal though sellers are clueless or the police just don't give a damn.

I'm reasonably certain it is sold in Florida as a landscaping plant anywhere that is relatively frost free. It is in TX, AZ, CA.
