Student Forager ---> Galerina?
    #23878434 - 11/29/16 02:17 PM (7 years, 2 months ago)

Found within 30 miles of texas coast, adjacent to golf course at curb.  No blueing, bruising evident.  Spore print appears light brown or cinnamon.

I suspect poisonous Galerina, perhaps pholiota or marginata ... ?

Doesn't seem brown enough on cap to be Pluteus cervinus.  Cap is more dirty black and white ...

When you've seen a mushroom enough times, you learn to recognize it like it's an old pal.

Pluteus cervinus pretty much means that no one has tried to figure out what Pluteus they found. :smile:
