First grow contamination?
    #23877768 - 11/29/16 10:08 AM (7 years, 2 months ago)

Hi guys,

This is my first ever attempt after reading these forums extensively. PF Teck method seems to be working well as my Golden Teacher spores seem to be responding well to my BRF mixture. I am using 1/2 pint jars and sterilized using a pressure cooker. Jars incubating at around 27C-28C (80.5F-82.5F). Mycelium growth started after about 4 days. It's has been approx 9 days and all jars are showing good colonization; however, I noticed a couple grey/wet patches in one of the jars. Very noob question I know, and I'm fairly sure it is a contamination, just wanted to get your input as you guys are very helpful. Thanks

Boil before opening. This will kill the mold spores that are in there.

Overall mold spores are bad for your health and even when you empty outside you will track a lot back into your house (house all ready has them in there) and can cause you even more issues down the road with an abundance of mold spores in your house.

Empty outside for your own health. Boil to kill off the mold inside.
